Extremely friendly staff and such a positive vibe! We also got to meet the owner, Tony Bello, and had a really nice conversation with him — he’s warm and welcoming.
We had the French Toast (which was perfect!), a custom-made omelette with spinach, tomatoes, and peppers, and the “Elvis” — an egg sandwich with bacon and cheese. It would have been nice if the sandwich came with hash browns or potatoes, but everything was delicious and cooked just right.
Great place, fun vibe, and great value for breakfast. Oh, and they only take cash — so make sure you bring it!

Flashback Restaurant a 50’s diner. Friendly staff, owner is on premise, goes around greeting and thanking customers, very affordable. I highly recommend this place.

This was such an amazing little family owned restaurant. It was so cute and had some delicious food. We got the cheese omelet, the Little Richard, and the Big Bopper and they were all delicious. The owner even came to our table to chat with us and he was so nice. He said they have been in business for about 49 years. I highly suggest eating here!

This is a classic joint. The atmosphere is nice. The staff is welcoming. The best thing I like about the place is the memorabilia. They have all the events that happened in the 70s specifically 74. Probably more. Where I sat it gave me a glimpse of everything from that year. It would be nice to go again to see how every table or seat lines up with the side I was on.
It brings back the real feel of a classic diner.

Throwback eatery with references to 1974 when they opened but decor is 50s 60s kitsch. That said it’s the food that is the star. The onion rings are slamming and the fresh made burgers are real beef. The clientele is older until lunch and then anything goes. The service staff make you feel like you have been coming for years.

I recently started bowling across the street. I came in here to get something to eat before I got started. I like the feel, and the people in here. Most of time when I visit places people love talking to me. I ran into a guy that happens to bowl across the street and we made a gentleman’s bet. He now buys me a plate from here every week. So I appreciate the food and the free meal.

This place is like a Cheers(the show )Breakfast place, “Where everyone knows your name.” The owner, Tony, came over & introduced himself. My grandson and I were early to visit the ELMWOOD zoo so we stopped in for breakfast. I knew it had to be a good place because it was full. The decor was 1950s vintage. My grandson had chocolate chip pancakes & I had a westerner omelet. Delicious!

I try to like this diner, and give a chance every time I go. But I have to admit that I’m disappointed every time I visit there.
The owner is friendly as is the cook. Mostly everyone else is alarmingly aloof. I feel like I’m intruding when I dine here. No coffee refill, no check to see if everything is okay.
Food is average but inexpensive. The hash browns are always under cooked. The coffee is okay.
The atmosphere is retro 50s and works, but could use a good scrubbing. I smelled cigarette smoke coming from the kitchen area.
I can tell that this a popular place with many locals but don’t quite understand why other than it affords them a place to meet up. But if you’re not part of that group, you may feel out of place and dare I say unwelcome
