The typico platter with all the meats was a hit, chicharron and grilled chicken were good. I would have gotten that. Empanadas as a starter hit the spot with the green sauce. I would stick to the traditional dishes as they look and tasted good. Waiter asked and valeted the parking ticket which was good since I didn’t know parking wasn’t free in the back lot. Either way, paid parking on street or back lot.

I had a really great experience eating dinner here at the other night with my family. I was here with my wife and two very young children, and everyone at the restaurant was incredibly accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious and the customer service really was amazing. I would highly recommend eating here. If you’ve never had Colombian food this is a great place to really experience just how good it is. Best part is 1 bandeja paisa is enough food for two people so you really get a good bargain.

We had an amazing experience at Makondo Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Everything we ordered was fresh and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family and friends.

Please check your receipt! This restaurant is charging extra $3.00 for sharing a dish which I found ridiculous & unfair. I have been coming for years with my diabetic Mom/husband & we always share a plate. Makondo Norwalk stop doing it! Do not be greedy. You already lost some customer (us) & I will ensure to share this with my friends & coworkers about what you are doing. Unreal.

Usually a hit or miss with the food. But to order 4 empanadas and to notice once i get home that they only gave one half a cup filled of sauce (not even full) is really disappointing. At least fill the cup if your only going to give one sauce

Food was SO SO GOOD my friend and I ate until we couldn’t anymore. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive and took good care of us. Definitely will be coming back here after the aquarium

There is good music but aside from that the place lacks experience. I ordered a Jack and coke from the bar and the bartender was confused as to what i was ordering, instead she brought me a coke bottle and a black label bottle. I also ordered a chorizo and the lemon came dry. Lots of improvement to be made for a place with lots of potential. The music was good though.

First time eating Colombian food and it was amazing! Very flavorful, and the wait staff was personable. It’s not really a dress-up place (we didn’t know). The atmosphere is comfortable, clean, and just overall was a great experience. I got tilapia with seafood sauce, my partner got something from the “typical” section of the menu that has beef, sausage, and pork, and appetizer of empanadas and cheese corn bread. Huge portions so we have food for at least another full meal.

The food was good… the service, well it was good but the lady was a bit pushy in terms of coming every 5 min to ask if everything was ok and to take the order. I appreciate good customer service but it was a bit too much to my liking. We might order to go next time. However, the food was amazing and they were very generous.
