I’ve been coming here for years and I can genuinely say I’ve never had a bad experience — not once. Whether it’s dine-in or takeout, the quality is always consistent.
The sushi is incredibly fresh every single time. You can taste the difference. The fish is clean, buttery, and high quality — not just “good,” but the kind of fresh where you immediately know they take pride in what they serve.
They’re also very generous with portions. You’re not getting thin, skimpy cuts — they don’t cut corners. You feel like you’re getting real value for what you’re paying.
What really sets them apart though is the service. The staff is accommodating, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. Special requests? Always handled. Timing? Always on point. Packaging for takeout? Done right.
It’s one of those places you can confidently recommend because you know it’s going to deliver every time.

Ryujin is definitely my favorite sushi spot I town right now. They are similar to other places like sushi palace but I feel the quality is much higher here, although they are a bit more expensive. Our go to is the peanut avocado roll and sweet potato tempura. We have also got avocado asparagus and avocado mango.
Peanut Avocado- 10/10 – definitely our favorite and go to. Fresh avocado, crushed peanuts, makes this perfect. Some places skimp on this and it makes a simple dish bad.
Sweet Potato Tempura – 10/10 I love the uniqueness of this one. It has orange sweet potato, a crunch tempura, and tofu, topped with a sauce. Great addition to peanut avocado.
Avocado Asparagaus – 7/10 – this one is not that good because the asparagus is raw which makes this sushi bite super chewing and stringy. Asparagus needs to be cooked and seasoned for it to taste well.
Avocado Mango – 5/10 – wouldn’t reccomend this one when mangos are in season. The mangos they put in this were definitely in ripe and not sweet at all. Probably would be better in summer time.
Interior is very nice and they just added a bar too, would make a good dinner spot since it hand calm atmosphere and not to crowded

The drinks, service and atmosphere at this place is amazing. I visit at least once when I visit the area. The food flavors are amazing! I just wish there were a bit more tummy friendly options. I like having the option to ask for no rice or less rice. I also like having more noodle options—bean sprouts instead of noodles or rice noodles. But at least the sushi was not mostly rice this time. Oh! And that sake tini! It’s DELICIOUS!

My friends have been here and raved about the sushi so we decided on takeout and got a few other items from the menu. The spicy kani salad was amazing – it has mango which was a nice touch – both orders we got were devoured immediately. We tried two classic apps: pork gyoza and edamame which were yummy. The yaki udon noodles were just okay – the chicken added to them was too tough of a texture, the flavor wasn’t bad though. The chicken teriyaki dinner was a nice portion and came with rice and a salad. Now to the sushi — we got three special rolls: Best Friend, Bridgewater and Hangy Panky. All were amazing! Love the soy paper roll option and also the presentation….you can also ordered extra sauces as side dishes. What a nice sushi spot!

This was my 3rd time dining here and I absolutely adore Ryujin Sushi. Elegant ambiance and authentic sushi experience.
The fish is so fresh and it melts in your mouth. Not only the food here is FANTASTIC, the staff is friendly, attentive & helpful. Our server Yenny was wonderful. She knows the entire menu and helped us picking the most unique dishes.
It’s BYOB but they also have NJ local wine from Alba Vineyards.
This is a 10/10 dining experience. I HIGHLY recommend this legit spot

Great sushi with a huge selection. Freshness was ubiquitous and service was great. Sitting outside was the right move. Especially on a splendid summer evening. Uni, both California and Japanese were the best I’ve had in quite some time. Highly recommended and worth the trip if you’re not close like I!

The BEST sushi I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled to many major cities! The whole menu is great because the fish is very fresh. We chose a special which was blue fin tuna with a passion fruit sauce that had a little spicy kick, then a crispy rice which came on sticks covered with super crispy circular rice pops. We enjoyed our dinner! The fish was fresh and food was delicious. We got Tokyo set and it had great variety of sushi. They surprised my husband with Birthday Dessert which was so nice of them! The place gets busy very quickly so make sure you get your reservations ahead. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Great restaurant!
