Our experience here was good. We ate here after lunch and before dinner. This location was not crowed…just two other tables were seated. The waitress came to our table quickly and took our drink order. Fresh chips and salsa were brought out with our drinks. We had food within 20 min of placing our order and our total visit was an hour. We ordered enchiladas and tacos….the food was fresh and had good flavor. Not too spicy, but not to plain either. I have eaten at other Mexican restaurants and this one lands in the middle…some were above and some below…this one is in the middle. The restaurant was clean inside and out with nothing broken or in disrepair. The restroom was well stocked and clean as well. The tables and booths have lots of room and are not too crammed or crowed. Thank you for a great experience…we would revisit if the opportunity rises again.

Came into the restaurant & sat at the bar & ordered a margarita. Tried to order a quesadilla on takeout, was informed I couldn’t get grilled chicken on the small quesadilla & could only get it on the large one for $17. I asked if the small one came with toppings like sour cream & lettuce & he said no. I said that’s fine I’ll get the large one! He tells me it comes with vegetables inside it, peppers onion tomato, I said that’s okay too.
When it came out it was soggy and swimming in liquid, barely any cheese on it at all! No sour cream or any toppings included for $17 (I already asked him about that) no sides included either. I was charged for a side of sour cream after I asked.
I asked the server what the liquid was & he says “that’s oil” …..
Especially because I sat there waiting for my order I knew it was fresh, so why was there a bunch of liquid pooling. The tortilla was soaked on the bottom. I assuming the cook didn’t drain the liquid from the grilled vegetables bc it didn’t look like oil.
My server didn’t offer fix it for me- it would’ve taken two seconds to slap a new tortilla on and add more cheese.
Instead it was taken off my check & I left.
Also the bartender ignored me the whole time I was sitting never asked if I needed another drink.
I was starving so I was super disappointed, also because of the way I was treated when I was there.
I received a bag of chips with my order but there was no salsa included (pretty sure that isn’t the standard)

Good-
Clean, well lit interior.
Chips were warm and tasty.

Poor quality ingredients
Flatware-straight from an elementary school cafeteria
Chipped plates
Overpriced menu
We both ordered carne asada.
The meat tasted rancid/almost rancid; like it should have been thrown out the day prior.
We brought it home and our dog would not even eat it. Third pic was taken right after he removed the meat from his bowl to get to his dry food.
We have been to other La Nop locations in JAX and they were much better quality.
The carne asada plates were $20 each. Overpriced for the small flavorless amount of meat we received.
*Beware:
The portable card swipe device added a little more than the tip we added. My math (backed up by my calculator) should have brought the total to $50 but it kept reflecting $51.73. Also the base tip started at 25% and went up to 40% or Custom. Tipping has become ridiculous .

Our Thursday night regular! The food is always fresh, the beer is always on tap and cold and the staff are friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable about the menu, don’t mind adjustments and always get it right. Love this place.

This La Nop is one of the best in North East FL. Food is always good. Thursdays the draft beers are $2.50 for a pint. Servers are all attentive and friendly. Enjoy sitting at the bar. Patrons are great to talk to. The bowls and burritos are well priced and fulfilling. I highly recommend.

Let me start off by saying the service here was beyond great! I certainly commend the waitress and bartender as they were very professional and accommodating. They all were. I am only leaving 4 stars because the food was a bit disappointing so I don’t know that I would return to eat but maybe for the drinks and location.

So my wife loves mexican food. We had come here a lot. My daughter and I would split the beef nachos, and we ordered everything separate. Below is the small cup of queso that was brought to us as the normal portion size for beef nachos. We have come before and when we have ordered it, we got a regular size portion of queso. When we asked to speak to a manager. Some twelve-year-old kid comes over and said he was in charge. Cause the manager was not in the restaurant right now. Needless to say this is the last time we will come to this restaurant.
