Just had a fabulous lunch in here today. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The guy that looked after us was first class giving us advice on their food and trying new things. Really attentive and they clearly love what they do – making excellent food at very reasonable prices. A big thank
you from us – we will be back!

Recommended by a friend as the best authentic pho, and they were not wrong.

I had the Fried Noodles (Phở Xào) with prawn, and it was sooo good. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the prawns were fresh and flavorful, and everything was well balanced. Definitely one of my faves, and I’ll absolutely be coming back to try their Beef Noodle Soup (Phở)✨

I highly recommend calling in advance to book a reservation, especially during busy hours.

My FAVOURITE Vietnamese restaurant in hampshire! The service is so good, every waiter is extremely welcoming and made my whole experience very enjoyable! I ordered the crispy pork belly once and it was so delicious I have reordered so many times. I honestly love the fresh taste of every item on the menu and I could never go back to regular coffee, the Vietnamese coffee steals the show. This is a must go for anyone seeking fresh, yummy meals with a delightful atmosphere. A massive thank you to the owner, he was such a lovely, funny man and his restaurant deserves a lot of attention. Thank you for coming to portsmouth Viet Quan!

An Absolute Gem in Portsmouth – Viet Quan is a Must-Visit!

My wife and I have been visiting Viet Quan in Portsmouth regularly since it opened during the pandemic, and it’s definitely become our go-to Vietnamese restaurant. We aim to visit at least twice a month, and we’ve noticed it just keeps getting better.

The atmosphere is always welcoming when you step inside. What really stands out about Viet Quan is the consistently high standard of both the food and the service.

The Vietnamese cuisine is superb. Every dish we’ve tried has been full of fresh, authentic flavours – you can really tell they’re prepared with care. From the vibrant noodle dishes to the curries, everything tastes high quality. Personally, the curry is my favourite.

Beyond the great food, the service is always excellent. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and helpful, which makes every visit a really pleasant experience. You always feel well looked after.

And the owner’s dedication is clear. Their passion for Viet Quan shines through in every detail, and it’s obvious they put a lot of effort into ensuring customers have a great dining experience. Their commitment to improving the restaurant over the years is really noticeable.

If you’re in Portsmouth and looking for authentic, delicious Vietnamese food served with genuine care, I’d certainly recommend Viet Quan.

For us, it’s more than just a restaurant; we’ve made many good memories there, and we genuinely recommend it.

Lovely small restaurant with fast, friendly service and fresh, aromatic food (including excellent vegan options). Plentiful on-street parking outside. The homemade lemonade is a must.

FOOD IS SO BAD and SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE.
I have tried the seafood spring rolls and filtered coffee before, they were so nice so that’s why I visit the restaurant again today and tried to order the same things. I have shown the staff a photo of the seafood spring rolls I had last time to reconfirm before we made the order, end up they have provided me with another thing. the taste and texture of this spring roll is awful and just tasted like vomit. I told one of the staff, she said will have a check but didn’t come back in 20 mins. When all the other foods are finished, I tried telling another staff, the manager came with extremely bad manner and said this is the food we can serve. We asked to cancel the seafood spring rolls ( I just tried a small bite as like in the photo) as we are not going to eat because it tastes so bad, the manager said we are not going to cancel anything for you as the food is already cooked and served, no matter how bad it is. is it a joke ? I was still wondering if I have got the wrong message from him….
End up we paid the bill and left the restaurant in really bad mood. Thank you for ruining my day !!!
PLEASE THINK TWICE before you decide to go this restaurant …….

I recommend their roast pork rice or roast pork with lemon. The beef soup is delicious and generous in portion. The soup is very Fresh, high quality. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee, but it was very sweet, maybe because of the wrong amount of condensed milk. I added hot water and it was normal.

Stopped in on a Friday night and ordered the special fried rice. Unfortunately, it was dry and flavorless, with overcooked meat and shrimp that tasted boiled rather than simmered. Service was fine, but the food was disappointing.
