Truly authentic pho packed full of flavour and amazing umami richness. The meat portions were super generous too compared to other places I’ve been. Add the poached egg yolk andfried dough sticks if you can they were slightly sweet and crunchy, perfect for dipping.
Even the condiments on the table were super authentic including fish sauce which was amazing with the pho broth, pickled garlic and chilli, and a unique chilli sauce. Everything worked so well together.
This restaurant truly lives up to its name and I couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you to Kim and the chefs in the kitchen!
The food was fresh, comforting, and full of authentic flavors. The pho broth was beautifully clear, aromatic, and well-balanced, served with generous herbs, lime, and chili on the side—exactly how Vietnamese food should be enjoyed. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside, flavorful inside, and paired perfectly with the dipping sauce. Even the small details like the condiments and presentation showed great care.
What truly made the experience special was the lady staff—she was incredibly warm, polite, and attentive. Her friendly smile and genuine hospitality made me feel very welcome.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine with heartfelt service. I’ll definitely be back!
This place was thankfully open on Christmas, and they were such a lovely and hidden gem in Edinburgh. The phở is as delicious as you can get in CA and Vietnam, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the broth as well as the very kind staff/service. There is no hoisin sauce/tương ăn phở, but you got something even better – authentic Vietnamese hot sauce that is only sold in Vietnam. It was like hoisin and Sriracha mixed together, and it was the best thing to dip our beef into (I dip my beef into phở sauce instead of adding it to my soup). I wish I could take some home with me haha.
The restaurant is also beautifully decorated. I also got some cà phê sữa (coffee with milk), which was very strong and kept warm using a unique mug (not sure if they used a Vietnamese press for it but it was still very good). And they finished our meal with an ice cream cone! I am not sure if they did this just because it was Christmas, but it was a lovely surprise for the end of our meal. Thank you and hope to come back for more when we visit again 🙂
Husband had pho bo, I had noodles with pork. Both dishes were outstanding, full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. Also together we were eating steamed bun – Great!
The lady working there was incredibly kind, gave us free water, and at the end even wanted to give us free chocolate ice cream.
Honestly, unreal. Everyone was so warm and friendly.
Easily a 6/5 place.
The owners are so kind, explaining how to add condiments for spice, saltiness ect and even explained how the small bowls of rice that come with the pho are with have with the broth after. Free ice cream at the end and 10% off with cash. 100% will come back again and again, do not miss it!
The food was of a very high quality with great portion size to match for the price. I highly recommend the beef steak soup with garlic and I would also recommend to follow the hosts suggestions on using the provided condiments.
If you’re looking for a good traditional atmosphere with great service and food near the centre of Edinburgh you can’t go wrong visiting here.
