A friend of mine and I decided we wanted to get soup and appetizers. I absolutely love their French Onion soup. We also ordered the Eggplant Rollatini and Potato Skins. They were all so delicious. There was so much cheese!! I love it. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

We had a very disappointing experience at Spartan 2. I ordered a salad and found a lemon-sized brown clump in it that looked like dirt attached to the greens. They did replace it, but it was extremely off-putting.
The pizza was also very bad—overly salty and unpleasant—and my husband’s pasta had a hair in it. At that point, we completely lost our appetite and are honestly hoping we don’t get sick.
The only positive part of the visit was our waitress, who was kind and did her best despite the situation. Unfortunately, due to the food quality and cleanliness issues, we won’t be coming back.

I was there for the first time for a private party. The room was very niceand there’s a nice bar available in the room. The buffet food was good as well. The chef was accommodating to some dietary restrictions.

This was my first time dining with this restaurant. I ordered almost $100 worth of food. I ordered an eggplant parm, kids cheeseburger, wings, large pizza, nachos and potato skins. The potato skins were OK. I didn’t eat them but my kids did. Wings were OK, dry inside but edible. The nachos were very sad looking. Cheese was not melty but looked like it had been sitting. The nachos were dry under the glob of cheese and the burger on it was tasteless. Not nachos by any means. I let these two appetizers go because my kids were hungry. They arent very picky and had been out all afternoon and were quite hungry. The quality of the entrees was the issue. The eggplant part looked soft, wet, and inedible. The side of potato salad was brown on the top and crusty. My husband sent it back without even touching it. He’s been a trained chef for over twenty years I trust his judgement. My sons burger was undercooked and could not be eaten. The waiter argued with my husband over the freshness of the potato salad claiming its made daily. If so, it was left out of refrigeration, yuck. The pizza was good actually. It was the only thing. I will not be coming here again. BTW even after removing just two items I still spent over $60. Not worth the money. Go elsewhere for entrees, maybe get pizza only….maybe.

1/26/23 I met old friends Dave & Patti N. for lunch here today. It was their suggestion and a great one at that!
They were already seated when I arrived so when our delightfully energetic server asked for my drink order, I requested a soft drink. She passed around menus and returned a few minutes later to ask if we were ready to order.
We were.
Patti ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled shrimp and I ordered my Fettucini Alfredo with chicken.
Dave had a personal size pizza with pepperoni and anchovies.
The fettuchini was excellent. A nice, thick sauce, very cheesy but not salty, with some very thin slices of fresh parmesan on top left to melt. The chicken was fine, except I wished it was grilled, not breaded. One star off for that.
Service was spot on and our engaging server had a fun conversation with Pat about her fingernail artwork.
Ambience was bright, casual modern with PLENTY of seating and parking.
A wonderful lunch with a terrific couple.

Our server seemed a little distracted and inattentive but was adequate.
Our food was prepared well and quickly.
My wife had the Fish & Chips. She said that her meal was tasty and plentiful.
I had the Veal Parm. I enjoyed it very much. The veal was crisp and tender. The penne pasta was firm just the way I like it. The tomato sauce was the star of the show.
Normally I have no problem finishing my meal but there were still a few wonderful penne left.
We enjoy this restaurant and of course we will be back.

Excellent all the way around. Was seated fairly quickly. Ordered Lasagna with clam chowder. Waiter brought warm fresh bread out that was really good. Then I got the clam chowder. Oh my gosh it was so delicious. Tried to compliment the waiter on how good it was and he said “I know, it always is”. Uhm, okay. Then the Lasagna came out and it was smothered in cheese and was excellent. I couldn’t quite eat it all no matter how bad I wanted to. So, the food I ordered was excellent. The service…I wouldn’t call it necessarily customer friendly. But perhaps that’s the way the owner wants it. Reading through all the bad reviews, I’d say expect and attitude and stay away from the grinders, but what I had was so amazing I still gave them 5 stars.

Spartan II, no longer associated with Spartan’s restaurant, also owns The Station Restaurant Bar in Naugatuck. Attending a recent event, service was attentive, pizzas, salad and wings were good. The white chicken Florentine pizza was our table’s favorite, though I’m someone who doesn’t think chicken should be on pizza. Taking home leftover pizza, I discovered their Margherita pizza was maybe the best I’ve had. Full bar.
