Ok, this place is fine. I go a couple times a month probably. But wow, they are lucky there is zero competition nearby!

The pork taco combo plate is pretty good, most of the time. This is one of those places where the quality depends on who is working. Not consistent whatsoever.

Now the reason I’m writing this… I am a little mad. I decided to get chips and salsa side order. You would expect a Mexican restaurant to make their own chips, wouldn’t you. I would.

Nope. Tostitos. I paid $3 for a handful of TOSTITOS. Did they really think no one would notice, store bought chips??? Holy heck I am not going back, how disappointing. Queen Anne deserves a real taco shop!!

Amazing!! I had the rolled chicken tacos with guacamole, made it a meal with rice and beans. Everything is made fresh from scratch in house and you can taste it! Huge portions for reasonable prices, you can’t go wrong!

Delicious Mexican food. The waitress is super friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Ordered a variety of items including a chicken fajita burrito, tacos (asada, adobado, beef rolled), and a chicken tamale for a total of $41.

Overall, the food was just okay and the value seemed questionable.

The Chicken Fajita Burrito ($15) was the best item—fresh and large—though it was mostly fillers (rice, beans, onions), making the price seem steep. The asada and adobado tacos ($4 each) were decent but nothing special.

The low points were the others: The chicken tamale was dry and clearly microwaved. The worst item was the rolled tacos, which were deep-fried but served cold with salad and cheese on top. They should have been reheated or, ideally, fried to order.

Best hole in the wall Mexican food around. Huge portions especially the burrito, beautifully done tamale, very generous with the guacamole and the flavors are sublime. Take out only when we went but a couple tables outside is chill on a nice day. While there check out Macrina Bakery across the street for dessert. Will definitely be back!

The food is not cooked here, merely assembled from various Kirkland products. My warning lights should have been flashing bright when I saw them microwaving the orders ahead of us.

Wife and I each ordered a burritos and the total came out to over $40. My chicken burrito consisted of shredded chicken and canned peppers, nothing more. The best I can say is that it was a big burrito and provided two meals worth of food.

Been coming here for lunch a bit recently and I have to say the prices are cheap and the food is good. You get bottomless chips and salsa for dining in. This place has been here for 20+ years and it seems like it’s still going strong. Word of advice though, the combos are HUGE I usually just go for a couple tacos and it’s plenty of food and half the cost. This is a great spot in Queen Anne.

Update to my original review below 1 year later:
They’ve raised the prices, and the burrito isn’t as large anymore, but it’s still a good meal to treat yourself to every once in a while.

YES!!! Unlike much of Seattle, this place is Affordable and reasonably priced because the quality is an A+ in addition to the amount you receive. Ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and y’all, YES. Well seasoned, Freshly made and nice portion. Didnt feel corporate. Will be my new go to spot for Mexican food.

2018: Amazing carnitas! Good price to portion and did I mention the carnitas! The tenderness and charred bits of delicious pork wrapped in a taco is very delicious! Worth the trip to Queen Anne! Plus free chips and salsa if you eat there.

2022 update, no more free chips and salsa but the portion and price is still unmatched, two tacos for ~$7 will leave you full. The freshness of ingredients of great but it lacks in the flavor department. Also tortillas are not made in-house.
