We came with a group of 7 people to eat and the staff didn’t seem to understand their own hours of operation.
One staff member said they were serving burgers/etc. From afternoon to like 5 and then when at went inside the waitress says “no, we’re only serving cold sandwiches until 5 when the buffet opens.”
But when we called earlier another staff member said that they were serving burgers etc.
From around town they have really great food reputation but they lost about a 200+ lunch party the other day turning us away.
I guess what got me upset the most was that we called ahead to make sure they served food and were told that they did.
Then we got there and were told again by a cook that they did but when we went inside the waitress said “no, only cold sandwiches.” But other staff members were looking at her like she was Wrong???
I love mom and pops places and plan on trying it again.

I had the buffet, it was okay. They had popcorn shrimp, hush puppies, fried chicken, fries, boiled cabbage, green beans, small salad bar, and much more. Staff was nice, price was fair, but it was dim lighting in the restaurant.

Hwy 97 Family Restaurant now. Possibly under new management. Either way excellent food, excellent pricing and exceptional service. Highly recommend. Nice folks.

Emoloyeed were eating and drinking in kitchen while preparing food. Their food/drink was stored in same cooler they pulled product from to cook!
