We enjoy the food and go here frequently because we live on the sw shore of Spirit Lake but…tonight because of road construction we had to drive around the lake to get there and around the lake to get home. We got 2 meals, one with fries and shrimp and one with coleslaw and shrimp. My husband hates coleslaw. When he got home we had 2 meals both with cole slaw and shrimp. Sorry but that was too much to return for the correct order.

It’s one of the best broiled chicken I ever had, and my husband likes it too. You should try their gravy with mashed potato, which is homemade, and their coleslaw is so tasty!

I get chicken and sometimes ribs almost every week!!! My family LOVES the chicken and all the sides. I generally get a large quantity of everything because it is so good!! Never been disappointed. Highly recommended by the Brown family!!

Camping in spirit Lake and last week ate chicken and mash potatoes and it was very good. So since I love gizzards ordered them tonight. Truthfully they were bad. Probably 2-3 good size ones and the rest broken deep fried little pieces that were hard, crunchy and tasted bad. Could they of been old? I order gizzards a lot and always have large whole gizzards not these scrap pieces. Thought you’d want to know

Stopped there last evening.Got a 4 piece chicken dinner(Dark Meat)The chicken was very dark colored,Hard & Greasy.It was very very tiny peices.The mashed potatoes tasted like flour.And the pasta salad noodles were hard.The noodles were uncooked.The meal was absolutely ridiculous for the price I paid & the tip that I gave.The cookies even tasted a little funny.I definitely Won’t be back.Complete disappointment!!!

Would not recommend this place. The chicken was dry and not fresh as should’ve been for the price. Staff was not very friendly or helpful. Typically from past orders, cookies were not fresh. Dinners include small chicken pieces and limited options. Want the Old Ginham back. Not worth the price.

Amazing fast service. Best take out food in town. Best homestyle fried chicken in the area. Cooked perfectly. Reasonably priced. I reccomend anyone coming to the iowa great lakes area give this place a try.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very good and you don’t have to wait long at all! Also, the outdoor patio in the back is nice to sit at while waiting for your food.
