I used to go to Speedy’s on Zaragoza all the time, and it was genuinely great. Good pizza, good value, and consistent. Because of that, I had high hopes for the Eastlake location.
Those hopes were completely crushed.
This was not just “not as good.” This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in my life. The pizza was absolutely horrible. My wife and I were so repulsed that we could not eat more than a slice. That is not exaggeration. We were genuinely offended by how bad it was.
The quality was shockingly low, yet the price was shockingly high. It was easily double what Speedy’s used to cost, and somehow tasted worse in every possible way. Paying that much for food this bad honestly felt like being scammed.
To make it worse, the cashiers were extremely rude. No friendliness, no professionalism, no effort at all. The entire experience made it feel like they simply did not care what they were serving or how customers were treated.
I am a very patient and understanding person. I do not leave reviews like this lightly. But this was so bad that it genuinely felt intentional, like they were trying to make the pizza disgusting. I cannot think of another way to describe it.
I left angry, disappointed, and feeling like I completely wasted my money. If you remember how good Speedy’s used to be, do not assume this location is the same. It is not even close.

Pizza is good when is made well. Most recently I have noticed that the pizza has almost no sauce and therefore ends being very very dry…. Almost like a quesadilla……. If that’s what I wanted I would just make it at home. There needs to be a balance and you all lost it a while back ago…. Its literally cheese and bread….. oh yea and if I want it made right I have to pay extra for sauce to make sure it’s done correctly. Over compensating for sauce and paying when it should be made right to start off with. No I don’t need extra sauce I just don’t want a quesadilla.

Speedy’s had REALLY good prices for pizza, but the quality and taste wasn’t the greatest. The pan pizzas were a little over done and wasn’t very thick for a pan dish. The buffalo chicken pizza sauce was good but lacked a good amount of chicken. The cheesy bread is really good. Service was quick and friendly, but would prefer to pay more somewhere else for better quality pizza.

Really disappointed and dissatisfied with the quality of our order. The wings were burnt and without flavor. The “lemon pepper” had absolutely no flavor and the traditional “hot” tasted bland and like tomatoes. Will not order from there again.

Ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza. Clearly missing something important here.
Update: tried again today. Ordered 2 XL 2 toping pizzas and was charged $24. When I went in I saw that extra large pizzas were 7.99 for 1 toping. I was charged 9 dollars for extra cheese for pizzas. I’ve had bad luck at this location.
