I enjoy Mezcal! Some days the food is better than others, but I always like the fajitas. The mixed plate with rice and beans is the best! Service can be slow sometimes and their margaritas are not my favorite. But its a good spot for a small town like DeWitt and there’s something for everyone there. Best salsa ever if you don’t like chunks!!! Nice people as well!

Can you ever really go wrong with Mezcal? It’s really one of the most reliably good restaurants in town. The food is always good, the service is always great and friendly, and the place always looks well taken care of! I’m lucky they’re right down the street! They save me at least once or twice a month when I just can’t cook. I really recommend trying the horchata.

We were charged nearly double the prices on the menu ! My meal is priced at $8.00 on the menu. Online the same meal is priced $9.99. I was charged $14.10! When asked, I was told that their prices had changed and they had not gotten their new menus and there is a sign on the door. When I left I looked. The sign is among a very busy area where there lots of signs posted, and not where it would catch the eye quickly. One would have to look for it. A note in the current menu and/or the waiter advising us of the price changes would have been advisable. Our group was charged nearly DOUBLE for our meals – and the steak that was ordered was awful – and $6.00 more! Thank goodness we all ordered water or it would have been even worse. Although I didn’t look to see if we were charged for the lemon in our water. Come on Mez Cal. I used to enjoy coming there but you have lost our business.

We were visiting from out of town and this place was recommended to us. It smelled great and was a good level of busy so we gave it a try. The service was pretty good and the restaurant had a good vibe. The food was okay but not great and later that night we had terrible stomach cramps that lasted into the next day. I think this could be a great place but they need to make some improvements to ensure a better experience for their customers.

This is the third time my wife and I have ate there. The food was ok, but the service was terrible, we waited an hour for the food and other customer’s that came after us were getting their orders before us. So, we finally got ahold of our waitress and ask how much longer, she said it will be right out, ya five minutes later (they forgot our order I’m Shure) And the menus were the same ones from 3 years ago. Our total order should have been $30 with our drinks. We got our check, and it was $55.They just remodeled the whole restaurant. I’m Shure they could have afforded new menus with updated Prices. We live an Hour1/2 away and won’t be going back there again. Way overpriced!!! And there SCAMING you BEWARE!!!

I ate at Mezcal with my cousin for dinner. This place is truly a hidden gem. Good burritos and tacos; but the highlight of the menu is the chile poblano. A huge stuffed pepper that is deep fried. Friendly staff and prompt service.
