TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Finally tried Dave’s Hot Chicken and went with a slider + tender at “Hot.” First things first: hot is HOT. Not fake hot, not “I’ll be fine” hot—this is respect-the-chicken hot. If it were any spicier, enjoyment would turn into a personal challenge… and they still have two levels above that. Brave souls only.
The slider was the star. The coleslaw on it does some real work—cools things down just enough to let you actually taste the chicken and seasoning instead of questioning your life choices. Smart move.
The tender was solid, straightforward, and spicy in a very honest way. No gimmicks, just heat and crunch.
Verdict: Legit heat, good flavor, and exactly what you expect going in.
If you like spice but still want to enjoy your food, Hot is probably the ceiling

My kids kept raving about this place but I am not a big burger person so it took me awhile to go try it. We went last week and OMG – I devoured the burger in no time ! It was so tasty. I only wish they had more sugar free drink options. The service was good and friendly. The atmosphere was a bit too loud that day but it was their promo day so it was packed to say the least. I will def go back for another burger

The food here is so good! I love that they offer cauliflower as an option — highly recommend giving it a try. I had my 14-year-old taste it (even though she really didn’t want to), and now she orders it every time we come! The customer service is great, but Ashley truly stands out. She’s so friendly and welcoming, and even when there’s a long line, she treats everyone with the same kindness and energy.
The only downside is that sometimes I barely get any slaw. The slaw is so good, so it’s a little frustrating when there’s just a tiny bit. I’ve had it perfect before, but the consistency can be hit or miss.

Soon as I walked in they was on point. Energy good, no attitudes, everybody movin fast but still respectful. They ain’t rush me, let me take my time pick my heat level (cause y’all know that Reaper be different ).
Food came out hot hot. Not “been sittin under a lamp” hot — I’m talkin fresh out the fryer, crispy, juicy, seasoned right. They even made sure my order was straight before I walked off.
Whole vibe was clean too. Spot look good, music hittin, workers actually look like they wanna be there.
If you in Wesley Chapel and you not pullin up to Dave’s, you playin. Service solid, food smackin, no complaints.
I’m definitely sliding back.

I enjoyed Dave’s Hot Chicken before and I am trying it again. I came in to try the Flight Bites however, you are not able to choose your flavor(Only comes in Mike’s Hot Honey, Spicy BBQ and Buffalo). I decided on the single bites, you can choose your flavor – Mike’s Hot Honey flavor for 8.99 plus tax. To Go! I picked up my order took a look and just a little disappointed. The chicken was in a medium size box but would have fit in a small just fine but dripping with honey all over the box. It appears they sauce and tossed in the box which created a mess.

Another chicken spot, but it did not disappoint! It was actually surprisingly good. The price was reasonable for 2 burgers (they call them sliders) and fries for $14. Can work for 2 adults. Added one drink and a side order of a tender for our toddler.

It is cumin forward in the dry seasoning on the chicken and reminiscent of Indian dish spices. Love it! The chicken was crispy and particular because there are dry spices over it. The sauce is a creamy condiment sauce, reminds me of chick fil a and very good.
Fries were too salty and we returned them to get a fresh batch of unsalted. They were fresh, crispy and delicious!

This chicken restaurant is located in the Wiregrass Mall. The restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Despite not being a big fan of chicken restaurants, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The chicken was juicy and flavorful.
