Came here for a bit with some friends after leaving Kraken and we had a decent time. The biggest reason behind the 4 stars is literally because the whole decor, atmosphere, and concept is so cute and core to DC. If you had to design DC into a bar it would be this with possible the addition of a couple monuments lol. The outdoor seating looks incredibly nice, the inside of the train looks even better, and the extension past the train has a good feel to it too. I will say the DJ looked like a nice guy but some of the transitions were so mid . Maybe it was just an off day or something. The security guard was also a little rude when coming in, my friend couldn’t hear because it was raining and a lot of noise and he pretty much yelled at him and not in a “helpful” way. Mind you, we were like a group of 12 people and it was DEAD because of the weather. Can’t complain too much though because we don’t come for the security guards lol

Any other day I’d probably give 2-3 stars but because of the design as well as giving them the benefit of the doubt, I’ll give em 4

What a cute concept! I’ve heard about Metrobar but finally went recently. During the cooler evenings, there are heaters for the outside seatings, and inside the car is just as toasty.

Ordering is a little weird. You can order drinks from the bar or scan the QR code. However, when using the QR code, the drinks come from outside, not made by the bartender in the metro car.

There’s also food on side where you can go outside and order or you can scan the food QR code. However, ordering from the QR code, you have to pick up the food a little ways down from the bar.

Now that the concept is more understood, it’ll be easier for me to order more appropriately.

I love trains, this was a very cool spot. The trains are stationary and act as a seating area. the bar is on a makeshift platform. I was here on a day of a performance and a vinyl record flee market. Nice vibes in Washington dc. There is a brick oven pizza shop in the courtyard if you’d like to grab a bite and bring it on the train…

I visited this place for the first time this past weekend and thought it was very cute. JB made me some great drinks. There was a DJ and TVs with the football games on. I did not eat the food there, but my homegirl had the pizza and liked it. This would be a great place to spend time in the summer, though it is an inside bar so you will not be cold if you go in winter. If you catch the train, take the ramp on the right to get to the bar.

Nice outdoor place to sit in the sun, but people on the door were strangely abrupt and rude.

It’s not hard to smile at someone as they come in – if someone is surly and miserable on the door, it paints the whole place like that.

However, food stalls and fun outdoor tables make it a fun place to come.

We cane early on a friday so I’m not sure what the atmosphere would be like when busy!

Downside is food is quite pricey! But that’s to be expected here

The main attraction is the refurbished metro car, and it’s worth the hype for aficionados of the DC Metro. There are comfy seats, neat branding, and music and a good selection of drinks. There’s also a large outdoor seating area you can choose instead.

This spot is super cute and vibey. The perfect place to spend a happy hour after a long day or week. I heard they have events like trivia and a love island watch party. Also everyday they have a different food truck on site. However spending $15 on a drink that is so small is CRAZY!!! See image attached note I did take a few sips. Like this cup alone should be half the price come on.

Laid back, chill, not too loud. Good drinks at good prices. Really cool interior, Metrorail car turned into a bar. Definitely somewhere I’ll be frequenting. There’s also a pizza stand outside where you can order personal sized pizzas.

This is such a cute spot to stop and honestly, I could see getting drinks after work here or staying late. Quite a few people had their kiddos and strollers so it seems to be fairly friendly for all types of crowds. The drinks were a tiny bit spending and the bartender wasn’t the most friendly I’ve ever talked to, even though we were one of three parties there at the time. He kept complaining about allergies, which I totally understand but I also don’t wanna hear about how your nose is running while you’re making my drink.
Tons of seating lots in the shade lots in the sun great atmosphere. And the drinks were excellent. What more can you ask for?
