Nick and Gina have a great wine shop! They have the knowledge and expertise, as well as a variety of different wines available, including some very high-end wines. They often have great tasting events and bring in winemakers from around the world. My wife and I enjoy visiting the shop and learning more about wine. Sales person was polite but I prefer to see and to read rather than rely on a person to ask me for help.
Did not buy anything after all. Price$ aligned with location (Birmingham, MI). Shares parking with other establishments and it has a very clean and pleasant presentation.
Had heard about this cellar before and had tried to visit for a long time; I was impressed with their looks but disappointed with the experience.

I first called this wine shop with questions and spoke with Gina. She was so polite and helpful on the phone I decided to go into the store. I am sure glad I did. This is a well stocked wine cellar. Very clean and well organized. Gina greeted us as we came in and spent a long time discussing wine and helping us select a few bottles for a birthday gift. She was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of wine. At no time did we feel rushed. If you are looking for a great wine shop with great service…this is the place. They have wine at numerous price points. Go on in and try it.. im sure you’ll be happy you did, we are!

The owners are Knowledgeable and friendly. I really appreciated their concise yet simple to understand descriptions of the wine. I didn’t need to read the book “Wine Tasting for Dummies” before hand because they were delighted to help me. I believe connoisseur s would be just as comfortable there. Lovely store with very good selection of wines from all over the world. They do offer wine tastings.
NOTE like many wineries this shop is difficult to find because it is located on the back corner of the building behind Bridal Couture. Not easily visible from Old Woodward. Plenty of free parking behind the building.

OWC has always in my mind had the best selection around. Nick and Gina are the best people to be around as well, and are always taking care of their guests. I definitely encourage any wine lover to support OWC, you will not be disappointed.
