Visiting the area for hiking and relaxation away from Nashville. Restaurant located on Sewanee campus, and it has very chill vibe. Cheeseburger was massive and delicious! Onion rings were cooked perfectly, with just the right balance of crispness and lightness to the batter. Ordered food To-Go, so I do not have any insight on how the service is if dining in. I’ll definitely visit this place again next time we are in the area!

We thoroughly enjoyed dining at this establishment. The parking was good. The restaurant was clean and inviting. There was a disco ball twirling which added ambience. This is an establishment where customers line up and order at a register, then receive a number to place at their table. The food is brought when ready. We elected to dine at the high top which was comfortable. The pizza and beverages were great. My only suggestion would be to cover some of the quite descriptive free speech sharpied onto the bathroom walls, as the language isn’t appropriate for young readers. Other than that, I would say this is a kid friendly environment!

We were out for a ride to see the beautiful changing colors of the leaves and became hungry. The food is simple yet surprises with the taste and there’s enough per the cost of the order. The salad was fresh and plentiful.

Welcoming people, good food in a comfy atmosphere. The burger, roasted beet spread and pizza were awesome but the star of the show was the homemade strawberry preserve cinnamon roll and the cheesecake with cinnamon roll topped with homemade strawberry preserves

The servers were Friendly, but we ordered 4 drinks got 3, our fudge pie tasted like straight up condensed milk with nuts in it, the fried mushrooms had so much grease in them we were squishing them with paper towels just to be able to eat them, one order was completely wrong then when it was remade was raw inside it was a burger , the lettuce on my nieces salad looked unwashed and apparently had blight. I kind of think where the majority of their patrons are college kids who are drunk or drinking they just don’t care or overlook a lot this is solely my opinion.

It was decent. Some food was good some was not good. The fries were not even cooked. My sandwich was cold and shouldn’t have been. My son had a good BLT. It was just fine. But there are no other choices around on a Monday for lunch. So… you land here and it works.

Seems like it would be a really cool vibe, I walked in alone. There is not a single other customer insight which being at a small town in Tennessee wasn’t too surprising because I’m pretty sure that’s one of the only restaurants around.
The girl that helped me wasn’t much of a help. I just kind of sat down at what looks like the bar waiting to be served and then I was looked at and asked if I wanted to order food. It needs to be right here at the register. Just not a very friendly interaction. It seems like I was more of a bother being there which kind of sucked because I’ve had high hopes for this place, especially a friend recommending it.
The pizza was very subpar. I don’t wanna say it was half baked because the undercarriage was fully cooked and had a nice crust but the ingredients didn’t seem to be cooked all the way through, I still had cheese that wasn’t melted at all.
I do wanna give a compliment to the cook, though this gentleman who was walking by ask me how my pizza was which is greatly appreciated. Seems like I had more interaction with the cook than anyone else there.

I visited here after hiking around 3pm. This is popular restaurant. I had a turkey sandwich and it was so good. Unfortunately there were less options at that time because the shortage of the employees. However the food and atmosphere were good.

Based on the name, I thought it might be a chain restaurant. Thankfully, it was not! It’s a local, hometown kind of diner.
The employees were friendly, and the food was really good!
We got the philly with fries, patty melt with fried mushrooms, and a small cheese pizza.
I will admit that I was disappointed by the way the philly looked. It looked like it was a little light on the meat. However, when I picked it up, I found that the looks were deceiving! The meat had fallen a little compared to the bread, but it was there! The sandwich ended up being pretty good.
The patty melt and pizza were pretty good, but the mushrooms were excellent!
I also tried a spicy cider. It was the kind of drink that had a major after kick. You take a drink and think “that was a little weird, but alright.” Then BAM, the heat hits you. It was an experience for sure.
Definitely check out Shenanigans when you’re in Sewanee, TN!

Shenanigans is a great name… I ordered the 8oz patty melt. My first thought was I must have misread the menu; this was no larger than a 4oz patty. The flavor was pretty good. We shared sweet potato fries, the “large portion,” which was not very big but tasty enough. Wife’s veggie burger with GF bun was larger, pretty much standard issue for one of these. There were just a few people there, and it was COLD inside even with a winter coat. There was an annoying disco ball going around which might be good for busy nights/bands but not on a slow night.
