Yes, it’s really that good. As for the Rolls, Titanic and Red Dragon are a MUST TRY – if you like your sushi swimming in sauce, you will want to ask for a little extra.
Overall, Fresh food. Modest establishment. Big flavor. Say less.

This place is a gem. The fish is SO fresh and yummy. Generous portions with affordable prices. Very kind and attentive service. We are from Minneapolis, Minnesota and look forward to visiting the Sushi Spot every time we’re on Oahu.

I’ve dined in and done take out. They’re usually busy for dinner time and it’s limited seating so come early or you can wait. The staff is friendly and it’s quaint inside.
I like the free miso soup they bring before your food, and there’s plenty of options to choose from. Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. The rolls are huge and well worth the price!
I highly recommend the spicy ahi, titanic, SOS, and SMT roll. One of my new favorite spots!

Sushi Spot is one of my favorite places to eat across 35 countries! It has a cozy homelike atmosphere, the staff is incredible, and the food comes out fast. They open with a complementary miso soup that is very tasty, we ordered the chicken mandoo, which was an incredible chicken dumpling, so good. I had the salmon nigiri, and the fish was the freshest and smoothest I have had in Hawaii, simply awesome. The Philadelphia roll was a smoked salmon masterpiece and I’m glad we ordered it.
I love the stuffed jalapeno roll; light tempura, intermittent kick, great texture and flavor. It’s absolutely delicious to the point that I have to share it, but regret not selfishly hoarding it for myself! I order it EVERY TIME.
I had hot green tea with my meal, and it was the perfect accompaniment.
I firmly recommend the deep fried oreos, 6 for 7.99 is a steal! I have had to pay an arm and a leg for one at the state fair, it was way better here! They are made perfectly and I had to go take a nap after my visit because I was so full and happy.
Service felt like family and were so welcoming that I felt they’ve known me for years. I wish I could bring my parents here. Everyone I bring now, becomes a repeat customer. I love Sushi Spot! I come here often. Thank you for a wonderful time, every time!

Sushi spot is a not so hidden gem nestled in a small shopping plaza just off of Moanalua rd. Google maps will have you try to turn left into the lot, but don’t. Turn left at the four way and then left into the lot.

The food!
I had the following (shared with another on a date):
Shrimp tempura
Chicken katsu curry
Stuffed jalapeño roll
Salmon lovers choice
Fried oreo ice cream bowl

All the dishes were prepared fantastically, delicious flavour throughout. The items with tempura were lightly fried, and the curry was absolutely delicious (I would have preferred it to be a bit spicier, but I neglected to ask).

In short, go to this restaurant.

We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated at an open table. Waters, menu, and table-ware were already on the table. We ordered Kamikaze roll, dancing shrimp roll, and stuffed mushrooms and everything was actually delicious (no there was no discount for me to write a review for them, its actually good). Plates were removed as soon as we finished one roll and the next was served. We dropped a chop stick and we’re immediately given a new set. Check was served immediately when we finished the last roll too. We left very impressed.

Found this gem in google and it did not disappoint. The staff was so friendly and I used google translate to ensure I was safe. They had tamari sauce and the sushi was so fresh. Of course use common sense and don’t order anything fried or with regular sauce.

Sushi Spot loved up to its reputation for fresh sushi done well. We tried a variety of rolls. I particularly liked the SOS roll. My wife had the Donburi, which is a broiled eel bowl. I don’t care for eel myself, but it looked really good (she confirms that it was indeed good).

Seating is limited, but for good area they have a decent parking lot.

Very fresh and delicious sushi. It’s literally melting in the mouth. Also reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They are open until 9 pm which is quite convenient. Average sushi rolls price is around 13-16$. Plenty of parking space outside and seems safe.

If you are a sushi-lover, you must visit this place and beware, once you do, you will always crave it! I have been coming for years…Family owned, service is always top notch, and the food is amazing. Best bang for your buck sushi on island. They are very generous with the fish, and the proportions are perfect. Also parking is very easy for Hawaii.
