I like trying all of the Mexican restaurants in the area to see which one has the best street tacos. The restaurant here did not disappoint.
The good:
-carne asada—their marinade is really good. I’d come back just for this
-Large quesadilla—for $10, this was awesome! Tons of meat in it
The just-okay:
-chips—nothing special
-guacamole—it was fine
-salsa selection—just okay, but better than a lot of other places in the area.
-al pastor meat—really fatty and not the best flavor.

Mexican restaurant inside of a Mexican market. Nothing special about the eating area but the food is good. Had 4 different tacos and all were delicious. Saw some other people’s orders and they looked great.

It’s a good little grocery store/restaurant. We had the chicken quesadillas and beef tacos! Also had the traditional chips and salsa! The customer service was also really good. They were very nice and respectful.

Authentic Mexican food in Knoxville!!!
I had tacos and they were delicious; my favorite meat was pork; their chips and salsa were very tasty, too. And they’re not expensive! I’ll definitely be going back to try some more dishes! 🙂

Really fantastic hidden gem just off Kingston Pike! Our group of 5 shared 2 delicious molcajetes (beef, chicken, shrimp, veggies, sauce – all in a giant bowl served with homemade tortillas) and it was more than we could eat! This location is also a mini-mart and butcher shop.
