Big explosions of flavor at Snarf’s. I got the Pastrami and Provolone. You NEED everything on it. The flavors just meld well and the bread is crispy and crusty. Whatever they’re doing in the kitchen is magic.
All fresh and nothing tastes heavily processed. Coleslaw is so good and not too astringent with the vinegar. Note that, if you wanna use the restroom, buy something first! Support this small family business! Delicious.

Great chicken salad sandwich. Too bad staff working on a big catering job made my sandwich take 25min at 11:40am on a Tuesday! I’m a working guy here folks. Really only have a 1/2hr for lunch. Never going to go here again. Check #35 for the day guys. Hope you work towards improving.

At least you guys tried, I got a prime rib on wheat, wit peppers and mustard and mayo with pickles and onions on paper it sounds like a great sandwich what I got was a disappointment for my $20.18 I’ve cooked prime many times and still didn’t come to what I received, by the way carrots don’t go with or in this sandwich unless you’re making Italian beef sad to say this is a bad sandwich and I won’t be back for this or another nearly 15+ minute wait just to waste money…

We stumbled across this restaurant late on Monday night. We had struck out at a previous restaurant because they closed early. When we entered snarfs (for the first time), I asked if they would be closing soon, and we were told we had 10 minutes to order. Then I told them our story that it was my birthday and we were starving! I said that we could take our food to go if necessary. Everyone working was very nice and they told us we were fine to stay but the doors would be locked as they would be closing down the place. So we all looked at the menu and ordered our food quickly. We had a party of 5, and it was just nice to be able to sit down. When our sandwiches were ready, we all snarfed them up! Talk about YUM! Then they brought us a couple of cookies to share for my birthday I thought that was so nice! We had a great experience, and we will definitely come back to this place!

I had the Italian Salad. It was huge and had chick peas, roasted peppers, cherry tomatoes and hard boiled eggs. The lettuce was fresh and crispy. I wouldn’t go there for the atmosphere, but it was clean and they had a station with a wide variety of music playing. Staff were friendly and polite. I ‘d definitely eat there again.

So we were done shopping at Ikea and used Google to look for something that wasn’t a chain restaurant, was close, and looked good and had good reviews. What a find!
The food at the restaurant was as good as the pictures in the reviews. Nice portions with fresh ingredients on fresh bread. The fountain drinks weren’t the usual brands, so you had to sample what you wanted. They also had a variety of different sides.
They have no table service. You place your order, and they call your name when your order is ready. What we got isn’t what we ordered. We were charged for two large sandwiches instead of the 7″. This added more to the bill, which, when I tipped, made the tip more. (Notably, I usually refrain from tipping any place that doesn’t have table service)
The atmosphere is eclectic and simple. You have a choice of where you want to sit. Booth or tables are your choices.
While parking isn’t part of the atmosphere, they would need to have the lot outside to serve their customers better.
Overall, it’s a good place to eat. With the few things that were said, if they addressed the few things, it could’ve made it a 5 star.

I will always go back to Snarfs. The poor guy, maybe a manager? had to deal with 2 shitty employees who didn’t care. Our meal suffered, but to see him try to help us and deal with his employees was impressive. We made a decision to take what they served us, which was still amazing. VIVA SNARFS!

It’s a great spot near the campus and something different from your day-to-day chain spots. Had the chicken salad, it was good. Service was awesome and all around a cool little spot.

Breads a little harder than my lady and i llike. It was like this my only other time eating here. But alot of variety in the menu. Plan on spending around $10 a person.

Snarf’s Sandwiches in St. Louis delivers a consistently great bite. The bread is always fresh, the fillings are generous, and each sandwich feels like it’s made with care.
The Grand location, in particular, deserves a shoutout—the staff here is outstanding. They’re warm, welcoming, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. Whether it’s remembering your usual order, offering great menu suggestions, or just greeting you with a smile, they make you feel like more than just another customer. The positive energy behind the counter makes the whole experience even better.
The only thing holding me back from five stars is the menu—it could use a little updating or expansion to keep things fresh for regulars. But if you’re looking for consistently good sandwiches paired with some of the friendliest service in the city, the Grand location at Snarf’s is a winner.
