Had to try out the new place and can say, it was literally the best spanish food I have had. I had this new item, a special, called a “Pombazo” (if that’s how it’s spelt) and it was amazing. Even though it was takeout, it was still warm and ready to eat by the time I got home which was about a 15 minute drive. I also took a tres leches slice home and I tried it in the car and literally couldn’t wait to eat it. It was so moist and fresh. I also had a mangonada which is a mango frozen smoothie with chili? Also super good, can’t wait to try other items!!
Update: I ended up going again and got a “Fresa com Crema” which the woman who makes them told me that they make it made to order so I was glad to hear that everything is fresh and not sitting there. I got an order of Steak Tacos aka Tacos de Asada and an order of churros….once again a 10/10. The churros were super tasty and warm and I loved the dulce de leche that came with it!
Additionally service was great, attentive and super nice.

We had dinner at the restaurant today and ordered the soup, Pozole, and Bistec à la Mexicana. My soup was made with chicken and I chose the green or verde option. Very fresh and I threw in the onions and cilantro that come on the side. On the way out we ordered some breads to try. Service was wonderful, come out and support your local business!

Such a cute restaurant and bakery!

We popped in for dinner and had a really nice time. All of the food was delicious.

Chicken Quesadilla: filled with nice sized pieces of chicken and the guacamole was fantastic

Quesabirrias: These were amazing. Delicious on their own but with the dip it was a slam dunk.

Churros con Dulce de leche: These not only tasted amazing but smelled so good.

Mangonadas: First time trying this and really enjoyed it! Definitely recommend getting it during the hotter months but it was a delicious drink!

A Hidden Gem Full of Flavor and Warmth!

Bougainvillea Mexican Restaurant and Bakery is a true family-run treasure! You can feel the love and care in everything they do—from the warm welcome when you walk in to the festive, colorful atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile.

The food is absolutely fantastic—especially the fried shrimp tacos, which are crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell every dish is made with pride and authentic family recipes.

And don’t miss the bakery! Their freshly baked breads and sweets are irresistible—light, fragrant, and clearly made from scratch each day. It’s the perfect spot to grab a coffee and a pastry or enjoy a full meal with friends and family.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for great food, a joyful atmosphere, and genuine hospitality.

The banana shake wasn’t overly sweet. You can taste it’s made with real bananas. The stuffed peppers appetizer were minimally spicy, which meant everyone at the table was able to enjoy them. I thoroughly enjoyed the burrito and felt content afterwards. Please give this new restaurant a try!

My husband and I recommend this New Mexican Restaurant. We had to orders of corn chips with their sweet dipping sauce. My husband ordered the TLAYUDAS which he was huge. The meat was very flavorful and tender. I had the Tacos Capeados filled with fish. The fish was nice and crispy. The tacos were topped with a zesty salad. For desert we shared churros drizzled with caramel and whip cream.

The servers were courteous and well informed about the dishes. But, the young man could use a little more sharpening of his skills like utensils and napkins before the food arrives.

We plan on returning and look forward to see them thrive.
