What a pleasant surprise! Everything about this place was excellent—from the food and drinks to the service, customer service, and overall atmosphere. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. The space was inviting, and the entire experience felt thoughtful and well done. We had such a great time and were treated incredibly well. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Wow….just wow…..this place is a Hidden Gem to beat all Hidden Gems. We were greeted as soon as we came in by Berta (bartender) and Ray(GM) and were given a full tour of the specials. We were not familiar with Cape Verde food so they even gave us sizeable samples of Cachupa, a stew of hominy, pork and sausage. We ordered a full order of Cachupa, cocktails, and this incredible roast octopus that left us floored. 100%, everyone must come here. The food is exquisite, the atmosphere is bright, and the staff are very friendly.

It was my birthday and we went to Lighthouse Tavern and the staff was so kind and friendly and really celebrated my special day. I had the most delicious mussels and my partner had fabulous chicken wings and we both had pumpkin beers with the brown sugar on the rim. Everything was exceptional! Thank u Ray and Berta!

What a wonderful find for a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant itself is a little bit inauspicious and by going to the wrong door I thought they were closed. But I am absolutely thrilled that I looked further and found the real entrance to the restaurant and bar. It wasn’t very crowded, but the staff and bartender were so incredibly accommodating to us. I felt like I was in one of those bars where everyone knows each other just because of the downright friendliness. The bar and restaurant area around it was exceptionally clean, and the bartender sure can make a really good drink. We ate a bit lite having the boneless chicken wings, half teriyaki and half hot sauce. We also ordered a chicken Caesar salad to split. The wings were exceptional. Crispy yet coated with two very distinct coatings that were superior. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was also way above par. It was made as a chopped salad, which was actually very nice.The chicken was plentiful and the dressing had a true Caesar taste. The only negative comment was the over abundance of croutons. I know that each time I come here. that I will order the Caesar, but will ask to withhold the croutons. The prices are very reasonable, and this is going to be a must return with regularity.

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 30 years and have seen many restaurants come and go at this location. Heading home I decided to grab some takeout and give it a shot. I wasn’t expecting too much when I went in but I was pleasantly surprised. The place has been updated but it still retains more of a sports bar feel than a restaurant. That is until they brought my food. I was blown away! This is a foodie’s hidden gem. I sat at the end of the bar and watched as plate after plate, each more beautiful than the next, made their way to eager customers. I was fortunate enough to try them out on a Sunday when they offer authentic Cape verdean cuisine. The cachupa or as my nana called it “munchupa”tasted like an elevated version of what I remember as a kid. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other offerings on the menu. Five star!

Food is very good I haven’t tried anything I didn’t like my favorite is the fish and chips wings and calamari atmosphere is pretty nice great vibe and music definitely a great spot for dinner and drinks and even turn up a lil after if you want
