Looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Woodstock? Indian Zaika is the place. Just a small restaurant, nothing fancy. Has a number of booths so you can eat in. Very friendly service, and the food is excellent. We ordered a number of dishes including a vindaloo, dal, fantastic buttered naan, rice, malai methi, chicken tikka masala and more. All had excellent taste profiles, and each having their own unique base (rather than some restaurants that use the same base and then add items, not the same). Only issue is no liquor license, but otherwise, very pleased with Indian Zaika… highly recommended.

I don’t have a lot of experience with Indian food, but this restaurant completely won me over. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and happy to explain the menu and make recommendations, which I really appreciated. It made trying something new feel comfortable instead of intimidating.
The food was absolutely amazing. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and full of flavour, and the garlic naan was fresh and perfectly cooked. I also tried samosas for the first time and was blown away by how crispy and flavourful they were. Everything tasted fresh and clearly made with care.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the restaurant was spotless. You can tell the owners take pride in their food and their service. Portions were generous and pricing was very reasonable for the quality.
This was such a great introduction to Indian cuisine for me, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend this place whether you’re new to Indian food or already love it — you won’t be disappointed!

Not good at all. The samosa was dry and lacked flavor. The filling was hard and didn’t taste fresh, and the outer layer was too thick and oily looking like fried so many times. Overall, very disappointing and not worth it.

I am very disappointed with my recent order of mutton biryani from Indian Zaika. The dish was extremely oily, making it unpleasant to eat. The excess oil completely masked the flavors I was expecting and left me regretting my order.

Being a super foodie, I got very intrigued by a review for this place that read that they had the best Indian food in Canada. So we made 1 hour drive from Waterloo, just to taste the food here on our anniversary and we absolutely loved it! Every item we had was fresh, scrumptious and finger licking good! The service and ambiance was great as well, we’ll definitely be back for more!

I ordered two plates of golgappe, and the total cost was $20. Each plate was supposed to have 8 golgappe. However, when I opened the boxes, there was only about a tablespoon of potato for each plate. When I called the store to inquire about this, a gentleman answered the phone and then passed me to a woman. I asked to speak to the owner, and she identified herself as such. She was incredibly rude, stating that the portion size was standard and that I could either accept it or not. Her attitude was very unprofessional, and she needs to learn how to speak to customers. It felt like they were taking advantage of customers . Atleast please provide the quantity of food that was paid by us.

After enjoying several meals dining in and taking out this is our favourite Indian restaurant in Woodstock. Our only complaints are the “hot” isn’t very spicy, menu items are often out of stock, and when dining in you are often forgotten about after meal arrives. Also the menus need a good cleaning.
We have had several dishes and all have been fantastic. They have the best somosas I’ve ever had, I think about them often as well as the mango ice cream and sweet naan. I’ll update as we try new dishes and possibly pick a favourite. Staff is friendly.
