I had a very frustrating experience at this Casey’s location. I bought several Red Bulls and tried to return them the next day. At that time, the employees told me they couldn’t take the return without a receipt — but they never mentioned anything about a 24-hour return window.

I went back today with the receipt, only to be told they still wouldn’t take the return because it was now past 24 hours. If they had told me about the 24-hour policy the first time I came in, I would have gotten the receipt immediately and there would have been no issue.

Instead, the staff was unhelpful, rude, and disrespectful. They refused to take any responsibility for not giving me the correct information the first time. Now I’m stuck with boxes of items I tried to return brand new. Very disappointing customer service and unclear policies. I won’t be coming back.

Great pizza, as always, but you guys gotta fix the estimated wait times online. I ordered two pizzas and was given a 19 minute estimated completion time. I got there at the 20-minute mark and the gentleman making the pizza told me there were still six orders ahead of me and it would be another 35-40 minutes. The nice girl at the counter apologized, said they were the only two people working, and that the website time estimates are never right. Both employees were very nice. This is obviously an I.T. problem and it causes quite a bit of inconvenience.

$1.93 for a fountain refill, trash everywhere outside, chatting with each other inside instead of helping customers… Are you even trying to compete with QT and Kwik Shop? I’ll go out of my way next time.

This review is for the gas station portion of Casey’s- not necessarily the food or the customer service.
Do NOT stop here for gas. Their pumps are extremely dated and barely work, if at all. It it’s cold out, forget it. You will be waiting a long time. A month ago my daughter and I both needed fuel and both stopped here for gas. NEITHER pump she or I pulled up to worked. I tried both pumps and two different payment methods. Just didn’t work. This was the last straw for me. I’m urging everyone in Derby to quit stopping here until they can replace their pumps. Thanks for reading.

At least 4 pumps always broken. If the pumps not broken the card reader is, if the card reader does work than it takes 2 minutes to read it. Randomly pulls 100 out of my account even though I only spent 40, one time even overdrafted my account and had to call my bank and explain I only spent 40 dollars.

The line inside is often very long with 4-6 people deep, but they only ever have one register open. Usually anywhere from 3-5 people working in clear sight and should make the customers first before their tasks. The ladies who work here are generally very nice, and pleasant, just not customer service oriented. The self-serve soda machine the cups are never put away and often just sotting on dirty counter. Restrooms are fairly clean for a gas station. The hot food is generally very fresh.

I’m a dasher and get gas at this Casey’s very often as it’s on the edge of derby, so it’s easy to hit on my dashes. Well this morning, shortly before 10:30 am I had a very poor experience for the first time.

Typically this Casey’s is great, but I’m usually here in the evenings, and the evening staff is MUCH BETTER than the morning staff.

When I came in there was no welcome or acknowledgment, when I did come up to the counter the lady did not say anything to me at all. She talked to the lady next to me, and explained things to her as she walked up but completely ignored me, even though I was first. Then she was talking very badly about a employee/coworker, complaining about them directly in front of me to a coworker while simultaneously ignoring me, and as someone that’s been in management for 10 plus years this is something you should never do. Even if you have a conflict with a co-worker or employee, you never talk bad about them in front of customers so I thought that was just very distasteful and horrible.

At this point, she still had not acknowledged me so I finally just said can I please get $10 on pump three she still didn’t say anything to me, but entered into the system, I entered my card and then my Casey’s rewards number and she still didn’t say anything, and it went through and I said thank you and walked out and she very snottedly said Thank You Back.

Her name tag read christina, she was probably about 50 to 60 years old with shoulder length blonde/grayish hair and she was nice to everybody else around her except for me for some reason, and I have no idea why I’ve never seen her before, but like I said beyond that she was talking very horribly about an employee right in front of everybody which you should never do, and just completely ignoring me while also helping other people like I was invisible.

The only thing I can think of is that I have bright pink colored hair and Tattoos so I did feel discriminated against. I will still come to this Casey’s as it is on my route, but I will only do so on the evening shift now.

Half of the gas pumps don’t work. One of the remaining is prepay only. The pumps that do work are EXTREMELY slow. Slowest gas pumps in the area. It’s the most convenient gas station for me but my absolute last resort. I have to be on E and not able to make it to any other gas station to actually use this place. It’s a shame.

I never have any trouble with Casey’s, and the employees are always kind and curtious. I would have given 5 stars; however, I noticed my tire was low on air, so I looked up free places to get air, and Casey’s popped up on a map. I was so thankful because it was closest to where I was, and I got up there, and the entire hose was missing. There was no out of order sign on it, just a missing air hose. That may not even be something that was their fault. And I would still give 5 stars, but it’s been over a month, and still no hose!

I love Casey’s, but this location is a disgrace to the brand. As of 6/19/21 they have NO operational gas pumps. REALLY!? You’re a GAS STATION! So embarrassing. At least the staff here are kind and the pizza is still good. But seriously, spend some money on your building or sell it. 1 star.

Edit 6/30: Mgmt responded quickly to my review. Thank you. Also, the gas pumps were operational within a few days by my own oberservation. Thank you for handling it. There are still a couple of handles that don’t work, but at least most of them do now. Keep getting better, it’s what I’m used to from this franchise. Upgrading to 3 stars.
