Dinky Diner is a true gem, one of the last remaining old diners in central Nevada. Nestled in the historic town of Goldfield, it serves as the perfect pit stop whether you’re traveling from Reno to Las Vegas or making the journey in reverse. The diner exudes a nostalgic charm, offering classic comfort food that hits the spot after hours on the road.

The ambiance inside is as authentic as it gets, with vintage decor and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, making it an ideal place to refuel before continuing your journey.

While you’re there, be sure to take a short detour about a mile down the road to explore the quirky car cemetery. It’s an intriguing slice of local history and adds to the unique experience of stopping at Dinky Diner. Whether you’re a fan of roadside Americana or just in need of a good meal, this diner is not to be missed on your Nevada road trip.

What an amazing place! A small restaurant with a building history that goes back to 1833. The son of the owners (waiter/cook) was a walking history book of everything Goldfield.

The food was great and the prices seem stuck in the 1990’s. Excellent service, excellent prices and excellent food, with a side of history.

The only negative is they don’t advertise the location very well and you might miss out on a old-timey restaurant.

Stopped in for breakfast and truly enjoyed everything. The two folks working were so warm, charming and friendly. We talked about the area and they gave us so much advice about what to do and see and the history of the area. I cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our conversation. The food was delicious with perfect quantities. My husband had the chili omelette and, from the looks of his clean plate, it was delicious. I had the basic eggs and bacon breakfast with a side of their country gravy. The gravy was excellent, especially on the country potatoes which were the perfect mix of crisp and tender. The bacon was of good size and nicely crisp without being burnt. The eggs were perfectly over easy. The place was clean and charming, the perfect diner atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Been on the road for 11 days. This was the BEST food of the entire trip! Fresh, home cooked meal with FLAVOR! Kudos to you. The service was amazing as well! The price was beyond fair in today’s world.

Dinky diner was the first food stop we saw coming into the old timey town, I’m so happy we decided to stop. The gentleman that waited on us was absolutely precious. He was extremely attentive to us and made sure our child was entertained while waiting for the food. He turned on the pac-man machine, brought coloring pages, and offered other games. On our way out as we were paying he brought out a can of rocks and gifted her a couple beautiful pieces. I would highly recommend to stop here while you visit Goldfield.
I wish i got his name, but to the gentleman that serves there- thank YOU so much for giving us such a positive start to our visit, keep being wonderful!

Had both breakfast and lunch multiple times The breakfast was great. Over easy eggs perfect, home fries perfect, and sausage perfect. The cheeseburger at lunch was awesome right down to the wonderful bun it is served on. The biscuits and gravy are good and I make it a rule never to eat them at a restaurant but a friend ordered so I tried a bite and the next morning I ordered and enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. The ham breakfast was also very good.

Let me start by saying, I brought my toddler aged daughters here for breakfast on a whim. WORLD CLASS hospitality and genuinely nice people working here.

My girls loved their breakfast sandwiches, and even were attended to and given coloring books / video games when they started to get fussy.

I will always stop here on my roadtrips from here on out.

I saw the pictures of the food while I was in tonopah and honestly around these areas this is the best place for breakfast, even better than most places I’m Las Vegas. Had to try it out for my self, me and my family went without expectations and it was so worth it, the food was delicious and legit home made food. The mother was the cook at the time and I can say she has skills. The French roasts were kinda small compared to what I’ve seen but the pancakes and everything else was in good portions. Would definitely come here again and recommend to anyone in the area. The dining area was very clean but the bathrooms could have used some cleaning not that anyone would go to this place for the bathrooms so it’s unimportant.
