I always try to hit this place when in Carlsbad. Sort of a hidden gem. The salmon tikka marsala is so great, and the chicken saag is some of the best I’ve had.
The naan is hot and fresh, and im sorry to say that I love those items from the menu so much that its all I ever order! But I’m sure everything else on the menu is fabulous too. Please support local businesses!

Ok Gringos… this place ROCKS!
It’s super casual, very friendly, reasonably priced and the food is DELICIOUS!
Each entree you order you tell them how hot you want the dish on a scale of 1 to 10.
I like spicy, and we got level six on everything. It was perfect go higher if you dare.
Bottom line, check this place out, it’s family run. The three guys in the picture run the show and I love this place.

The Food is “not made with love and care”. It is pretty much “below average” in terms of Freshness and Taste. I picked up couple of items for Lunch and I was truly disappointed. The ”Chilly Paneer”
(Cheese Cubes cooked in Himalayan Sauce) was stale and it seems they threw some fried Cheese cubes on already made Sauce. The portions were also really small ( please see pictures of the actual Quantity provided). It is barely enough for 1 person. I do not recommend this Restaurant for authentic Indian/Himalayan Cuisine. I have been a Customer but the Quality and Care of the Restaurant has deteriorated so much since it’s opening that “ I will never be going back to this Restaurant ever again.

Only twice in my 27 years of life have I had bacterial gastroenteritis. Once was when I volunteered on a public health trip in Nicaragua and the second was here. Institutional seafood, sketchy raw oysters, sushi that’s been sitting out for a while? No problem. Taco Bell doesn’t even faze me. An all you can eat Indian buffet where the curries are lukewarm and look like they’ve been sitting out probably more than a day? Not a thing. The lamb curry we got from here was about as lukewarm as the buffet. Took us standing for 20 min before we were seated, but they only had two people run everything in the front which is more of a management issue than a genuine service issue, they were very busy. The flavors for their entrees were not bad and rice was complimentary and good. But clearly there is an issue with cleanliness at this place. My god. Had to take off work early two days and am on the toilet for the 5th time today.

Best Himalayan food I’ve had in a while. This joint knows how to spice things up and add lots of flavors . Their cilantro garlic naan was amazeballs. The soups were incredible. We tried the a little bit of everything and nothing disappointed .

Tried Himalayan Sherpa Cuisine in Carlsbad recently and overall had a great experience! The **lassi** was excellent—refreshing, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The **choila** really stood out with its bold, smoky flavors and tender meat—definitely a highlight of the meal, however a spice level 7, it was intensely hot! If you’re not used to that level of heat, I highly recommend asking for a 3 or 4 instead. The **chicken tikka**, on the other hand, was decent but lacked that extra punch or char you’d expect.

We also tried the momo (dumplings)-they were juicy and well-cooked, but the flavor felt like it was missing a layer, maybe a more robust dipping sauce or spiced filling could have elevated it.

Service was friendly and the atmosphere cozy. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving authentic Nepali flavors, just be mindful of the spice scale!

We loved it. On a rainy night this place hit the spot. Good food and naan. It’s not fancy but the food came out piping hot and we thought it was very tasty with good prices. We will return.

I placed a pick-up order from this restaurant and was really disappointed with the food. I got samosas, paneer tikka masala, butter chicken, and a couple of garlic naans. The naan and paneer tikka masala were just okay. The samosas were undercooked, and the butter chicken was dry, overcooked, and the curry itself was unappetizing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend getting food from here to anyone.

Well spiced Himilaian and Indian food. Sauces were a bit runny. Momo was bland even with the sauce. Naan were delicious but unfortunately burnt on the bottoms. One server for the whole restaurant managed to get our food out quickly.

Ordered the lamb tikka masala, number 5 in hotness (1 to 10) was prefect. Not too spicy, perfectly flavored. Garlic cilantro naan was really good with it. Highly recommend!
