My friend and I stopped by The Madame for a girls’ dinner night and ended up really enjoying the experience. The speakeasy itself is small, cute, and cozy, with a very dark, intimate interior that instantly sets the mood. We commented that it would be an excellent spot for a date night.

The bartender was especially impressive. She was very knowledgeable and attentive. He took the time to create a custom drink for my friend, and she absolutely loved it. I ordered an espresso martini made with rum, which was interesting and different from the usual vodka version. We didn’t order food this time since we stopped in before our dinner reservation elsewhere, but other tables had food that looked great. I’d love to come back specifically to try their food along with more cocktails. Overall, a great little speakeasy with solid drinks, great service, and a cozy vibe. I’d definitely return.

The Madam it’s a great hidden gem — literally! This speakeasy, hidden within the walls of the Scottsdale Resort & Spa is worth discovering! This quaint little bar seats 12 so making a reservation is highly recommended. Once inside you’ll find a great cocktail menu and if you’re lucky you might have Andra as your bartender. Andra is a wonderful mixologist. She is extremely attentive and helps elevate the experience!

Cool little space, we had a girls night there on a random Tuesday night. Had a normal cocktail but let me say something. A drink the is $27 (plus an included tip of $5 “resort fee”) is some crazy prices for a small vodka infused drink. I came, I saw and I will NEVER be back again. It’s not like they had entertainment that made the atmosphere something to write home about. It’s literally a to behind a small room behind a bookshelf. If you think you want to go know that drinks are $35 each.

There are many speakeasies around town, as they have really gained popularity, and The Madam is one that really has that true prohibition secretive feel. It’s a small dark space that only seats eight. Reservations are recommended, especially outside of slower summer hours. We visited in July and were the only patrons for a couple of hours. (Downside to that is that they did close early, after we left, due to low turnout.)

We were greeted by bartender Kadek as he handed us each a small introductory sipping glass of his own delicious concoction. We each ordered a signature cocktail from the menu to start but trusted Kadek for the rest. He asked our tastes and made us each a couple of great cocktails of his choosing. There are a few lite bites to choose from as well, so we enjoyed some crab cakes and the truffle fries.

Being the only guests in the bar, we had fun getting to know Kadek. He was a few months into his 1 year hospitality internship with the hotel and quickly moved from serving to tending bar. We enjoyed learning about him growing up in Bali and his future career plans. He really made the experience great, and we never would have guessed that he was newer to creating cocktails.

We truly had a fun time. So much so that we went to the hotel desk and grabbed a room for the night so that we could enjoy Kadek and The Madam a little longer.

Fun little speakeasy in the hotel. It’s on the second floor. Finding the entrance is the best part.

Well decorated in a dim room, little tables and seats. Perfect for conversation. The music and the audio system need some upgrades, but the experience is amazing.

The service and attention to detail were amazing!! Gina made sure we were more than satisfied, and was the reason we returned tonight, as she was our bartender last night as well. Amazing representative of the hotel and she is a key employee who brings everyone back again and again.

We had a terrible experience at the Madam. Made a reservation and checked in right at the time. There was no table available so she told us to wait outside. We waited, and waited and 25 minutes later I checked in again and she was unaware who we were or that we even checked in. After confronting her about it she said she has a table available. It was for 2 people and there was 3 in our party. We said forget it and came down to the bar and talked to a manager. Completely unacceptable for the lack of service at this place. It’s really gone downhill as of late and it’s showing. I won’t be back, and I don’t recommend this tiny “speakeasy” to anyone. Visit the other speakeasy’s in town for a real experience and not this mediocre wannabe bar.
