Fish and squid were really fresh. Squid was tender, not rubbery. Portion of fish was pretty small tho. Chips were great! Also had the sticky date pudding which was a good end to our meal.

We read the reviews on this place ahead of time, which sounded promising so we were looking forward to it. We dined in and I had the Queen Snapper (I’ve had before elsewhere) which was quite nice (although small portion), sadly the chips were over cooked. My girlfriend had the fish curry which had good reviews but she found it tough and very salty and ate less than half of it.
The music was quite relaxing though and a positive.

We had a lovely take away meal- 2 x fish and chips + 2 x kids fish and chips + 5 x squid rings + 2 x pineapple fritters + 2 x potato cakes = $70.
The meal overall was realky lovely and fresh. Not your standard greasy take away fish and chips. The squid was a stand out and the potato cakes were really good. Would recommend!!

This is more than just your average fish and chips, this is boutique fish and chips with a great vibe. The fish was delicious and so fresh! The scallops were caramelised and delectable. The sweet potato chips were lightly seasoned and crunchy and the avocado dipping sauce was magical! Highly recommend it, compliments to the chefs!

Was recommended by a friend and called in for dinner tonight. I had the $36 Fish Special. Grouper on silky mash and honey carrots. Is in the middle of the blackboard photo.
Just wow and easily in my top 3 of fresh fish meals ever. Good sized serving of Grouper and presentation was beautiful, but flavour was even better. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of my plate. Went back and got the Grouper a few days later, and picture attached.
The owner recommended the Fish Curry last time I was there and back for that this week. Cannot fault this curry at all. Lots of nice sized pieces of fish in a lovely curry sauce and not overpowering the flavour of the fish. Happy to recommend this dish also.
Do yourself a favour and eat here. I will definitely be going back for another meal.

I was really looking forward to trying Fish Face after seeing the reviews, but my experience was extremely disappointing. The oysters were dry, burnt, and placed upside down in the box. The sauce container wasn’t closed properly and leaked everywhere through the packaging.
I called the store to politely advise and ask if the oysters could be replaced. The woman on the phone was unbelievably rude, laughed while I was upset about the quality of the food, and told me it was “not her problem.” When I asked for her name, she laughed again and began speaking in another language instead of addressing my concern.
For a business in a major tourist location, this level of customer service is unacceptable. I expected far better based on the reviews, but unfortunately my experience was the complete opposite. I won’t be returning.

What a find! Fish Face completely blew us away with the quality of their seafood. We started with the oysters and mushroom chips – both were so good we almost didn’t need mains! But the handwritten menu with the daily catches was too tempting to resist. We opted for the grilled Groper and Blue Grenadier, and both were cooked to absolute perfection. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Brilliant fish restaurant with wide variety of fish cooked your way with lots of home made sides. Easily the best fish restaurant I’ve been in even although it looks like a chippy at first glance. Don’t miss the Face Plate (2 squid, 2 scallops, two prawns) – squid was the freshest and best cooked I have ever had. I had the Hapuka, battered and it was great too
