Reviews
For the price, you get amazing quality! So many places skimp on the meat and overdo the breading, but not here. You can tell they care about getting it right.
It’s in HMART, so the quick service and ample seating make it super convenient. Definitely planning to return!
Let’s start with the showstopper: the Tonkatsu ramen. The broth was absolutely phenomenal—rich, deeply savory, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell it’s been simmered for hours to extract every ounce of flavor from the pork bones. It had that velvety, creamy texture that only a true tonkotsu broth can offer. The taste lingered just the right way, warming your entire body with each spoonful.
The noodles were equally impressive. With the perfect firmness and bounce, they had a consistency that held up beautifully in the broth without ever getting soggy. Clearly made with care, they acted as the ideal vessel for soaking up all that delicious umami.
️ Spicy Ramen Worth Sweating Over
We also ordered the spicy ramen, and it did not disappoint. The spice level was bold without being overwhelming, enhancing the flavors rather than masking them. The heat built gently as we ate, and each bite brought a balance of flavor that was clearly intentional. The broth had a slightly different character—more robust, a bit smoky, and layered with depth. Every ingredient, from the perfectly cooked egg to the slices of tender pork, was top-notch.
Fresh Ingredients & Flawless Presentation
Every bowl was a work of art. From the fresh scallions to the bamboo shoots and mushrooms, each ingredient tasted incredibly fresh and contributed to a well-balanced dish. Nothing felt like a filler. Everything had a purpose and elevated the ramen experience.
Service that Feels Like Family
The customer service was absolutely stellar. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and warm hospitality. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, happy to offer recommendations and ensure our dining experience was seamless. You could feel that the team really cared about their food and their guests.
Omori Katsu and Ramen is not just another ramen shop—it’s a place where flavor, technique, and hospitality come together beautifully. Whether you’re a ramen aficionado or just someone craving a comforting bowl of noodles, this restaurant offers something truly special. The tonkatsu broth alone is worth the trip, and paired with their flawless noodles and amazing customer service, it’s an experience you’ll want to repeat again and again.
5/5 Stars – Highly Recommend!
This spot is located in the H Mart food court in Westpark Plaza, Irvine, making it super convenient. The prices are very reasonable, so it’s perfect for corporate lunch breaks or even students on a budget.
I’m already planning my next visit to try their Curry Katsu and Ramen! Highly recommend!
You can enjoy pork cutlet with curry together.
Price is reasonable ($17.95)
The cheese-filled pork katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, served with fluffy rice and a refreshing cabbage salad. The tonkotsu ramen was truly a masterpiece. As a big fan of ramen, I can confidently say this one stands out.
The broth was creamy and rich, topped with perfectly cooked chashu. I can’t wait to try more dishes ASAP!
