Shoto is a hidden gem thats been in Lexington for 25yrs. Its a family owned and run establishment. Everyone there is fantastic. The food is delicious and i CANNOT WAIT to try the unique upstairs bar i learned about. Blueberry Lavender Tea Cocktails….whaaattt?? ❤️

The chicken and cheese rolls are about the only reason I come here. They are to die for. The salad and soup is wonderful as well. We miss Emily. She was the best waitress. We came in on a Friday night at 5 PM and waited over 50 minutes for our food. They do sushi on Friday and they were getting it set up as we arrived. Sushi and to go orders were going out, but cooked food for dine in was slow. Maybe they need some help when they do extras like sushi. My filet mignon tasted lab grown or fake. My kids had sirloin in their lo mien and it tasted like sirloin. I eat a lot of filet and there was something off about it.
Edit: I took my small kids out and left my husband and older son to pay. My husband told them about the steak and they said sorry and handed us the bill. We’ve been coming here for almost 20 years. Probably wont be back.

Food is excellent and i frequent the place as I live close but they are painfully slow. Especially take out. I ordered pick up at 6:13 with estimated pick up time 6:33. That is never accurate so I showed up at 6:53. Was told at 7:03 it was on the grill after I asked to check on it. Finally got it at 7:10. This isn’t a one time thing. This is just the worst time. Almost 1 hour after ordering is honestly pitiful service. They also never apologize for the wait or inconvenience. It’s every time. The food is great so i keep going back but this may be it.

My husband and I have been long time customers for 10 years. We had our first date here. It’s always been a special place for us. The food quality has always been superb, the service has always been amazing (Emily is the best), and we have never had any issues at all with waiting for food. However- we have had two repeat bad experiences. The first time when we waited over an hour for our food with very little communication from our waitress (not Emily) and no refills, the food was meh- we were on the second floor so we just figured that was the reason. Well today we came and was immediately sat at 552pm. Well ordered as normal. We then proceeded to wait until 710pm for our meal. In that timeframe we received one refill that the waitress mistakenly filled both cups with water when one was a sweet tea. At 652pm, after no communication with our waitress, she finally said “it shouldn’t be much longer” 17 minutes later our food came out. The rice and carrots were ice cold, the steak was medium-medium well instead of medium rare (not a huge deal), the scallops were cold. It was obvious that the food had been ready for some time and just never made it to our table. Meanwhile, several other tables were left waiting just as long if not longer for their meals while to go order after to go order were filled. I understand needing to complete to go orders but as a diner- dine ins should take priority. When our concerns were brought up to the manager we were told that they “would talk to the staff”. Severely disappointed in the fact our go too place is no longer on the list. Long time Shoto’s lovers no more.

Very small but quaint place. They are attentive and if you eat or order regularly they tremendous your preferences which means alot. The food is standard Asian take out quality. I have noticed lately however that the meat content is not as high as it used to be. The ratio of meat to noodle or rice used to be higher. Take that into consideration.

We stopped here on our way home. The servers were short and the tables were full but they did their best. If you are in a rush this is not the place to go, we waited 45 minutes for our food. It did come out hot. Would choose the lo mein or white rice over the fried rice, it basically rice with soy sauce and eggs. Portions were good. Chicken was tasty. Vegetables were fresh and cooked well. For the price it was good.

I’ve been eating shotos forever, rarely ever had any issues. I Called my food in around 8:30pm they close at 9pm. Received my food after 9 and come to find hair in the plate. They were already closed so I tossed the plate but took a picture and called the next day. Only to find out that their “plate policy” is to keep the plate and bring it back so they can “fix their mistakes” or you can’t get a refund or new plate unless you have the plate which is totally ridiculous. Definitely won’t eat here for awhile.
