I thought I had reviewed this place before, so sorry for pics of half eaten food. This is one of my very favorite places to eat. When I feel like I’m getting sick, I send my husband on a Tom Kha run. The food here is wonderful, but Thai hot really means Thai hot. My favorites are the Tom Kha, pumpkin curry, and egg fried rice. Hubby loves the grilled veggies. I have not had anything bad, though the crab wonton were not my favorite. Go for the shrimp tempura instead. The drunken noodles were also amazing. Like I said, have not had anything bad, and most of the food was wonderful. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, all the staff is so kind. Visit a couple of times, and they know your preferences. Highly recommend.

Really good Thai food. Seemed to be on the tamer side on the spice level. Whole party said they could’ve probably gone up one from what they chose, but had no issues with the taste.

We usually do a pick-up order from them, but these are the pictures from our last dine-in. I vouch they are the best Thai food in the area. Prices are reasonable and taste is the best.

We were really looking forward to eating here based on reviews. And we are Pad Thai brats, so of course, one of our meals was Pad Thai. We believed that it had too much vinegar. Also too sweet. The papaya salad was OK. We really enjoyed the crab wantons

I’m not joking when I say this. My family and I eat take out from Sala Thai at least 2 times a week….ITS THAT DELICIOUS . Seriously my favorite restaurant in Peoria. Hands down the best. You will not be disappointed. Please eat here. The staff is always friendly and kind as well. Props to the cooks also for the great cuisine. Can’t recommend this place enough!
Edit: finally was able to dine in at Sala Thai. Absolutely incredible and yes it was perfect. Service is great too.

We love Sala Thai – consistently delicious food. Best Larb ever and panang another favorite.
Called in to order before Super Bowl and they said they were closing early, in just a few minutes, but were happy to put in our order. Thank you! We love local!

This is a consistently good place to get Thai food. Not the most flavorful I’ve had but the best I’ve found in the neighborhood. The team that works here is what makes it 5 stars. Always friendly and efficient and hasn’t messed up an order ever. Knock on wood :-).

Not my first visit and definitely not my last. The food here is just so good every single time, no matter what I get. We ate in this time and took home food for others and everyone gave rave reviews. I had the fried garlic chicken and it was just so amazing. He had fried rice that was also very tasty. The reviews for the pad Thai, the spicy eggplant and coconut shrimp were also glowing. I’m so thankful to have such a place so close to home!

What I ordered :
Sapparo
Yellow pork curry
Egg rolls
Let me first start off with saying the only two things that were good about this place, which was how clean it was, and that the eggrolls were actually pretty crispy flavorful but I will never come back here again I eat a lot of yellow curry from several different restaurants and I’m always willing to try a new spot out which is what I did which was the worst mistake. I could’ve made. I’ve never had worse yellow curry before than at this location I’ve never had my yellow curry. Be this watery and soupy as well as be so darn bland and the potato pieces were so hard. It just did not taste good overall as well as they gave me a expired beer, and I instantly knew from the minute I saw no bubbles and tasted a flat drink what a waste of my money! And the dirty glass given to me to drink it out of and not relazing it till I took a sip, go to Thai e San for the best curry you’ll ever have though

Updating our old 5 star review. We have been coming here for years. The past few times we have been given meals with barely any chicken but today we ordered $100 bucks worth of food(6 entrees) and there was like 2 tiny pieces of chicken visible on top of the noodles in each entree to make it look like there is chicken but the rest has zero chicken. AND the chow mien had more raw bean sprouts than noodles.. im not even kidding. I’m actually mad. I’m done. This was the last straw. I should be refunded. Drove 30 min there and 30 min back and everyone is upset.
My old 5 star review:
We moved to Surprise and I found this place was the closest with good reviews so I made the journey and man it didn’t disappoint. Chicken pad thai is so good here. I get it with no peanuts and spice level 2.
Anyway I went today with all 3 of my babies to pick up an order because I am pregnant and this is all I want/can keep down. I was a 30 min drive both ways and the nicest lady answered the phone and let me pay from outside so I didn’t have to bring all of my babies in to pay and she brought my pick up out to me. This kindness really impacted me. She had pretty chrome nails, I wish I got her name but she was so kind and I’m happy to drive here for this service and great food.
