Ate here for breakfast and dinner a couple times because we were staying in the hotel. And honestly, the food was pretty mid. For dinner – the bread and butter was good. The scallops were near perfect. But the squid ink bucatini was off-balanced, it was too zesty and sweet; really threw off my palate. For breakfast, everything was just ok — we tried the breakfast sandwich, Benedict, French toast, and hash — all we’re just ok. Their breakfast potatoes are actually pretty exceptional, which is surprising and nice. Service was kind of all over the place and ranged from overbearingly nice to absent/inconsiderate.

Disappointing first time. We expected much more from a restaurant sitting inside of a world-reknown, high luxury brand hotel. The food was delivered to our table with a lukewarm temperature. The skirt steak was food truck quality and it was not elevated at all for a full service restaurant, charging a premium price. The salmon was appealing on the plate but the taste was bland. We had to keep adding salt to get some flavor from it. The caesar salad was soggy and flat. There was no dressing to taste, so we do not know why it was soggy and flat. The croutons were dark lumps of what looked like pumpernickle but they had absolutely no flavor. There was one lone anchovy sitting on top and that was it. I don’t know why this salad is even on the menu! The best part of our dining was the garlic mashed potatoes and the very delicious peach cobbler a la mode. If it weren’t for these 2 items, we would have given less stars. We will not return here unless it’s to sit at the bar and enjoy drinks which we can do just about any place else. 🙁

I recently dined at AG Modern Bar and Steakhouse and unfortunately the experience did not live up to the price or expectations.

There were only about 8 tables occupied, yet it took 45 minutes for our steaks to arrive. For a restaurant positioning itself as an upscale steakhouse, that delay is unacceptable, especially when the kitchen wasn’t busy. When the steaks finally came out, both were overcooked, which is extremely disappointing considering steak is the main attraction here.

Our total bill was around $300 for two people, and nothing about the meal justified that cost. The sides were just average, nothing memorable. Ironically, the best parts of the experience were the complimentary bread and an $85 bottle of wine — neither of which required much effort from the kitchen.

The manager did offer 25% off, which was appreciated, but even with the discount, the experience simply wasn’t worth it. When you’re paying premium prices, you expect premium execution, timing, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this visit fell short on all fronts.

I would not return, especially with so many better steakhouses in Atlanta that actually deliver on quality and service.

Slow motion. Steak average. Brussels sprouts and the cornbread were honestly the best part of the meal. Service was so slow and meals not timed correctly. Sides came out cold and average by-the-glass wine list. Manager was not involved on the floor at all – I don’t think we’ll be back next time we’re in ATL.

Our annual winter drive south to Florida included an overnight stay at the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta, a property that stands confidently on its own as a polished and welcoming destination. That evening, we chose to dine at AG Steakhouse, the hotel’s signature restaurant—and it proved to be a decision well made.

From the moment we arrived, the experience felt considered and unhurried. We were seated promptly at a well-positioned table that allowed for relaxed conversation, setting the tone for the evening. Service was professional and knowledgeable; our server offered thoughtful recommendations and guided us smoothly through cocktails and wine selections, both of which were well executed and complemented the meal nicely.

The food was the clear highlight. My wife began with AG’s original salad, which she described—without hesitation—as one of the best she has ever had. Her entrée of scallops continued the theme: beautifully prepared, flavorful, and balanced. I opted for a prime ribeye with whipped potatoes, a classic pairing done right. The steak was rich and satisfying, the potatoes indulgent without being heavy.

While our server appeared stretched across multiple tables, he remained attentive and genuinely engaged, always finding time to check in and assist—an effort we noticed and appreciated.

The ambiance fits the setting perfectly: refined, comfortable, and unmistakably steakhouse in character, without feeling dated or overly formal. It aligns well with the Ritz-Carlton’s understated elegance.

If you are staying at the hotel—or even nearby—AG Steakhouse is absolutely worth an evening reservation. It delivers a well-rounded dining experience that balances quality, atmosphere, and service with confidence and consistency.

My wife, my daughter, and I all stayed at the Ritz Carleton this weekend. We went to breakfast and dinner here multiple times. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. In a world where fine dining and food is everywhere, the difference is made in the service and people that work there. At the beginning of our trip, we dealt with Jennifer at the front stand. She is beautiful, out going, and kind. She was flexible with my family, friendly, and made sure to get us taken care of. We had breakfast here on the first day, the service and server were so kind and friendly. Food was A+, as expected. We ate dinner here twice. The first night, we were in a bit of a rush, so things didn’t go perfectly for us. Anthony, in management is a professional, and made sure that we got take taken care of. I can’t say enough good about him, he takes pride in his restaurant, and you can tell he really cares about his customers. We chose to come back the next night, as our schedule wasn’t so hectic. I spoke with Ella at the front reservation desk, and she made sure that we would have a reservation. These guys roll out the red carpet. Tom was our server on our last night, I would say they gave us their best server, but everyone we dealt with here was so kind and friendly. He was very professional, gave us amazing recommendations, and made us feel like family. The meal was A+, and the dessert was even better. Anthony was on point as well, and made sure our meal was perfect.
Amazing team, amazing food, and friendly service. I recommend the Waygu meatball appetizer, the filet steak, and brownie ice cream for dessert.
Thanks again for giving us the VIP experience, and treating us like family, all the way from Utah.

The steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides delicious and the service unmatched! We came in originally because we were staying at the Ritz and it was convenient, but soon felt at home with the kind service that went above and beyond and the amazing food! My daughter declared she wanted to move in and my son exclaimed it was the best meal he ever had! We will absolutely be back during our short stay and whenever we are in town again!

Amazing experience at AG Ritz Carlton!
The team got us a private room for our dinner which gave a perfect ambiance. The service was on point and couldn’t be nicer.
The food was amazingly delicious, we shared a few appetisers and would recommend the meatballs with the slices of bread.
Same for dessert, we shared and would recommend the toffee cake. The ritz chocolate cake was too heavy but tasty.
