Pad Thai was super delicious — full of flavor and perfectly cooked! The soup was just as amazing. We asked for non-spicy food, and it was actually not spicy
The prices are good, and the location is perfect — just a few minutes away from Wat Arun viewpoint.

Definitely will come back again!

When I think of good local Thai food, this is the place! I got the spicy minced pork with a fried egg, it was very good. Also, the Tom Yum was soup was great. Really enjoyed the Tom Yum Goong, it was nice and spicy, very good! Service was a bit slow, but food was great. I will be going back 100%

Amazing! Local experience, really good pad thai (shrimp and chicken, both are good). Soups are good as well. The owners are super nice, local old Thai people.

Delicious food! Not too crowded compared to other places, making it nice and quiet to have a break from the crowd. Family own business, they are really nice and prices are affordable.

Amazing lunch we had here. Fried rice with shrimp and the spring rolls were delicious.

As a frequent visitor to Bangkok over the last 2 decades I try to avoid tourist spots. Nonetheless, I found myself “in the area” where the tourists flock to see Wat Arun by night and stumbled across this simple hole in wall Thai restaurant.

I should have turned around when I saw there was zero Thais inside – all tourists!

Still, got a seat and sat down. Ordered a simple meal of “Khao Pad Kung” and a mango smoothie.

The fried rice tasted authentic enough but had too much julienned onions and carrots for my liking.. and huge wedges of tomato instead of finely chopped/diced tomatoes that most Thais prefer. Guess these are mods to cater to their foreign clientele. The prawns were properly seasoned and fresh.

Mango smoothie was OK if not great.

All in all a decent enough meal, if not something you’d write home about.

The elderly lady managing the front of house was friendly and systematic. A pleasant person.

(View of Wat Arun was from a lane running parallel).

We found this small and lovely Thai restaurant near Wat Pho and absolutely loved it. The food was incredibly tasty and felt very authentic.
My wife had the Pad Thai and I had the Pad Krapow – both dishes were excellent, full of flavor, and freshly prepared. On top of that, the prices were very affordable for the quality you get.
A true hidden gem! We would definitely come back every time we are in the area. Highly recommended.

Service was slow, took 25 minutes from order to getting the main dishes. But it was very worth the wait. Probably the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had in my life. Family run business and the lady owner was very friendly. Would recommend but heads up, could be a wait.

We came here after seeing the grand palace and the Temple, very friendly staff and the food was amazing! We ordered a chicken pad tai and the chicken galangal in coconut milk soup, it tastes like a zesty but mild Thai green curry.
