Total Ecstasy! Literally the best sushi I’ve had in WI.
(I lived in LA for 25+ years) It was fantastic. Real deal. I came in right before closing but they took care of me. Great Sake too. Wish I lived here. 🙂

Surprisingly good sushi experience!
Started with Salmon hand rolls. I can generally tell everything I need to know about the place and what to order from those 3-4 bites. We were definitely off to a good start! Salmon was not refrigerator-cold and really tender & flavorful. Roll wasn’t tight so some of the nori stayed really crispy. Very well done!
Miso soup arrived next. Unfortunately it presented as an instant mix, complete with the 1/4″ cubes of tofu. Room for improvement but maybe they don’t have much demand for it in the middle of June?
Sushi rolls arrived next. The Fantastic Roll has a nice sear to the white tuna and the most perfectly ripe avocado. All in all, delicious! Chippewa Roll was likewise really tasty. Adding seaweed salad as a topping is new to me but it absolutely works.
I’m with our waiter regarding the third roll: chicken doesn’t belong in sushi. That said, it actually worked. Not sure I would order it again but no regrets over incline in our lunch.
Sushi is a tertiary market is always a crapshoot. These guys were better than most small town places I’ve tried. Doesn’t hurt that the place is modern and attractive. Love the curved glasses they serve beverages in also. Nice touches abound.
It’s not omakase in a place with a classically-trained sushi chef but it’s certainly worth a try if you’re in the mood for some maki in NW WI!

We ordered takeout from Sakura for dinner and were impressed. Ordering over the phone was quick and easy. We both had the scallop hibachi and shared two of the special rolls. Everything was great. A huge bonus was that the food came in an insulated carry bag. Very nice takeout experience.

We’ve been there a few times for lunch. We’ve always ordered the Bento Boxes. Haven’t experimented because the boxes are so good. We’ve had the shrimp, chicken and beef. It’s a great place for atmosphere, service and good food.

Sushi rolls were very good and tasted fresh! The restaurant itself is a bit small small but has a lot of tables so it felt like you were a little on top of other guests but the service was great and they had an awesome variety of menu items! Their udon noodles were a hit at the table with the kids and they have a nice cocktail menu which is always a nice addition with sushi; highly recommend the lychee martini!

Rolls were good. Price was good. Almost an hour wait for food seemed a bit excessive for a couple of rolls.

Had a nice visit here on a drive through Chippewa Falls. Would recommend the seaweed salad. Their soups, both the clear and miso, along with their house salad were also excellent. Shumai was a touch underwhelming. Entrees were solid. All in all, would return! Service was friendly and prompt!

My bf just ordered some food on DoorDash. I don’t know if you guys are the ones who deals with how the menu and ordering is set up on there but it is pretty confusing. It has you select a 2nd side that is required but neither one of those options are what I want. I want what comes with it, fried rice, veggies and the chicken. But you HAVE to choose something. Please fix this. There should just be one side 1) soup or salad and then have another not required section that lets you customize the hibachi. I love the food but today was disappointing.
