If we could, we would have added more stars. Decor: modern with soft lighting. The service: excellent, even if we came at their busiest time, Valentine’s day. The drinks: maybe not the longest list but very well chosen. The food now: portions were perfect and I cannot stretch enough how the combination of flavours brought us an exquisire experiencewithout bei g too overwhelming.
All of that goodness and qualities of a high end restaurant without the high price.

They’re a very busy place, and understandably so. During our entire 40 mins visit to the restaurant, we were asked if we were ready to order/ready for a takeout box 4 times, which was not my favourite part of the experience.
The menu has a very interesting selection, and the back kitchen definitely has the competency to make it. The back kitchen looked very clean too, which was great.
For anyone expecting authentic Asian flavours, though, do note that this is more of a retro fusion place. They do a good job tailoring the taste of the dishes towards the preferences of their preferred customers. Everything was too sweet and too much like a retro Asian takeout place for me, but I’m sure they would be just right for those who prefer that kind of thing.

Fantastic crispy chicken with a unique and wonderful take on orange sauce! Tastes like freshly squeezed orange and lemon, not too sugary either! The side of white rice was cooked perfectly. Friendly service.
I’ve been here in the past where I really enjoyed their chicken salad, it was also very fresh and flavourful. I also had their fried shrimp wontons which were served with a tasty light sweet and sour sauce (not too sweet just right). These 3 (crispy chicken with orange, chicken salad, shrimp wonton) were standout. I would come back to try more dishes.
Their stir fried noodles are reminiscent of Cantonese style noodles but are not the same as they lean on the sweeter side. So the noodles might be more aligned with a Vietnamese flavour profile. I prefer stir fried noodles to be savoury and closer to traditional Cantonese style but this is a Vietnamese restaurant so I keep that in mind

Update: EXCEPTIONAL supper enjoyed here. Staff were so kind and friendly, helpful with choosing items suitable for our vegan companion. Everything was Delicious!
Used to grab lunch here whenever downtown and food was consistently great. It had been a while since we were in the area so recently ordered take out. Still excellent and reasonably priced. They do excellent vegetarian spring rolls, and a favourite is the crispy chicken with peanut sauce. It comes with plain steamed rice and a crunchy mix of bean sprouts, shredded carrots and onions. My companions who are familiar with Vietnamese cuisine raved about their dishes, so I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is an absolute gem for Viet-Thai food. The quality is consistently excellent where every dish tastes fresh, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. You can really tell they use good quality ingredients. The service is outstanding, warm, and attentive, and what truly sets this place apart is the owner, who often comes out to greet guests and make sure everyone is enjoying their experience. It’s clear they take pride in both their food and their customers. Reliable, welcoming, and delicious every single time. I highly recommend!

Amazing! If you have never been, you have no idea what you are missing. You’ll be amazed at the size of their menu and the quality of their food. I go as often as I can, but their limited hours really make it difficult for me to go as much as I would like. I would have given it a 5-star rating, but went with a 4-start simply because their limited hours make it difficult to dine here unless you plan ahead.

We kept hearing rumours of how good this place is. So New Year’s Eve we decided to try something new and we picked up Red Basil for our dinner. From the initial phone call to ordering ahead of time to picking up the food ourselves, the staff were welcoming and friendly from start to end.
We were absolutely amazed with the freshness and flavour of the food. I ordered the mango salad and the fried chicken with orange sauce. And my wife got the tom yum soup and fresh rolls. The orange sauce is out of this world.
We loved this place so much that we had to take the in laws there a couple days later for lunch. And this is where the atmosphere is just as good as the food. Clean, simple, bright and again with the friendly service. Later on during our lunch we learned that the sauces are all homemade. Oh and by the way that peanut sauce is incredible and now my new favourite. Thanks for great food and service and we will certainly be back again soon. Already craving more.

I had the udon noodles as I was outside for an event, and was stationed outside of this restaurant. Being family owned, they were incredibly friendly and very kind. I will absolutely drive the one hour plus to come back and grab the same meal again. Highly recommend! 100 stars out of 10.

We ordered here for the first time. I got the green vegetable curry and the curry was not great. It was moreso a sauce on top than a curry and it just tasted like bland oil. The dish was also completely separated between oil and a slight amount of goopy curry.

As the weather gets colder, having pho is the decision to do! And this place serves flavourful and fresh food that will not disappoint!! I wish we had the chance to try the spicy pho they had, however overall it was still a good experience, mango salad is amazing! Everything in the appetizer platter is filling and the ginger tea hits home ❤️
