Our bar and restaurant tucked in downtown Columbia has more history than one might expect. What was once the historic Katy Station is now a beloved bar and restaurant among locals, students and visitors alike. It is special to think that our building once served university students traveling along the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad in the 1900s. In fact, we have three historical markings on our property to remind us! Our historic red brick building still serves Columbians, but now as a beloved local spot to congregate and enjoy meals, drinks, sports and each other’s company.
Sports bar with an MU Tigers fan base who come for games, beer, pub grub & occasional live music.

Used to love Shilo, but goodness, found a nice day to sit outside and ordered some nachos.. supposedly with chili.. this is what we got, a few chips, a tablespoon of chili, massive cut jalapeños and a pile of sour cream.. 13.00 on a paper plate with paper utensils.. seriously these are the worst nachos I’ve ever seen.. and why paper.? Never coming back. Nachos at Taco Bell would be better.

We had a great time with a Thursday night social. 8-25-22. Melody was our server and she killed it! We brought like 20+ people and had a great time. Great apps and a fine selection beers. They have renovated and made it a fun and classy place to hang. Fun outdoor space and a spot for a band. Corn hole and chicken wings! What else do you need?

We visited on a Saturday afternoon; there were 3 staff members siting at the bar. We seated ourselves as the sign stated; NO ONE came to the table to provide menus or greet us. The waitress walked by, gave to-go boxes to the people at the table in the corner, then she walked back to the bar and sat down. After 15 minutes, we left without anyone acknowledging we were there. Very disappointing.

Pretty cool bar, lots of space to sit outside with an outdoor bar and tvs which is a nice touch. Plenty of indoor seating too, decent bar space. My experience here for a late lunch was pleasant, quite that time of day but friendly and helpful service. I tried the wings, pricey now due to inflation but pretty damn good for the traditional hot chicken wings. Other than that just a run about bar menu but from what I saw around the burgers looks pretty good too. But all in a great atmosphere with plenty of tvs to catch any game.
Their happy hour runs 3-6 M-F for:
1/2 of starters
– pickle fries
– pretzel bites
– toasted raviolis
$6 smash burger and fries
$5 double wells
$1 off bottles/cans
And they have bottomless boneless wings on Thursdays from 5 pm to 9 pm. Can’t beat that!
As of 8/16/22 they launched a new menu, I have pics of that here.

Service very slow. Very limited menu, so we only ordered drinks and appetizers for lunch. We ordered the onion petals on the menu, they said they were actually onion rings which was fine. We also ordered the bbq pork totchos It took forever to get them, the people next to us got their food and finished eating before we got ours. The restaurant was not busy. When the appetizers came the pork was cold and onion rings so burnt they were not edible. When we pointed this out to the waitress she did take the onion rings off our ticket and discounted the nachos and apologized saying that the kitchen was having issues. She was really nice, we know it wasn’t her fault. This is a picture of the onion rings below.

Went here for lunch after church…not very busy and we chose to dine inside. Our server was nice. The food was good and hot. We both had the Western burger mine with a pasta salad and the other with fries. Did not get asked about refilling my water or the coffee. We finished eating and waited a bit for the check. All in all however it was a good visit.

Fun place, food isn’t the best but it’s a great environment to watch games or hang out in. Karaoke on Thursdays in particular is a lot of fun with the free shots for singing. Underrated bar in Columbia

I realize college game days add a level of busy. Didn’t even mind the reduced menu because of the crowds.
BUT, was very disappointed with quality, quantity and increased price of the food.
Been told your normal menu is really good. Hope to try it one day.

This was my only second time I’ve been there (first one was back in ’19 with my grad school friends), and had made a lunch stop there before heading to the Mizzou Softball game that afternoon; also my first time trying out the Famous Shiloh Burger and was delicious! Also the food came out within 5 to 10 minutes and the service was very quick (was the first customer of the day few minutes after opening), while only spending 30 minutes in the restaurant! Would come back again to try some different food, as there is much to try!
Also giving a big kudos to my server, Radhika, for making this lunch service one to remember!

I’ve tried to stop in on this place probably 5 times in the last 3 years, every time it being listed as open on google per regular business hours. Not once have they been open. Really disappointing, I loved this joint back when I lived here. At this point I’m just listing them in my head as being permanently shut down. What kind of downtown business can’t keep hours updated?
