I always enjoy Peet’s because they get everything right. The coffee is good (unlike other places where they burn it and serve it too hot). Service goes the extra mile where staff will come out from behind the counter and talk to you and offer help. They are not chained to the drive-up window. Most importantly, for me, the atmosphere is always excellent. Peet’s has a lot of space with both tables and comfy chairs. The Downer’s location has a wonderful patio outside too. Sipping my drink in the outdoors is always more relaxing to me. The whole space suggests that I should get food/drink and then stay for awhile and talk with a friend. It’s a place to gather. That’s always a win for me.

Overall a good experience. Lots of room to spread out and get some work done with lots of seating. Espresso was great with a hint of sweetness behind it. Paid a little over $3 which is reasonable. Bakery looked enticing to try out. Staff is nice and service is quick. Not a bad coffee shop if you’re in downtown Downers Grove!

I bought a coffee and rested for a bit at one of the tables and a worker very rudely slammed on my desk and told me to leave because I had my head down and my headphones on. There’s no written policy about sleeping or resting in the stores online. Coffee good though.

Fast service for coffee and friendly. I only order coffee here but it’s always quick. They are focused on service which is nice. Better than SB. Very busy usually as well. Not much seating available usually because people camp with their computers and work. So keep that in mind if you want to sit and chat business.

I don’t typically post reviews but I think that what just happened deserves one. I’m starting to get into coffee and completely forgot to ask for my drink to be iced instead of hot so I went up just to ask for a cup of ice and they were so helpful and instead completely remade my drink for me and were really friendly about it all. Thank you guys!!

Very cozy and relaxing coffee spot. Tasty coffee and wonderful, friendly staff. Spacious and very clean. Wall decorations and lighting fixtures bring some tranquility yet rustic. I enjoyed sipping my coffee with their comfy seats.
