I hadn’t been here in years. It was a very pleasant surprise to see it remodeled. The food was really good, service was friendly, respectful and courteous. Best if all the prices are VERY AFFORDABLE! It is kid and wheelchair friendly.

We ordered pastrami with onion rings. And they charged us $1.99 for the onion rings. When we get home open the box, there was no onion rings only french fries. The cashier was very nice and the food tasted good. Next time I have to check everything before I leave the restaurant

I eat here once a year when I’m in Montebello. I look forward to it because I always have a good experience. Well, not this year. I ordered the chef salad. The basic chef salad on the menu does not have meat listed as an ingredient. The drive thru menu showed chicken as an add-on. I ordered only the salad because I’m vegetarian. The salad came literally piled with ham. I also ordered fries, but I guess the woman at the window didn’t hear me. Last, I ordered an extra thousa d island dressing. She said it was $0.35, we were charged $0.85. I guess they make enough mistakes to truly merit the sign in the window telling you to check your order before you leave. Unfortunately, the driver drove out before I could check and I was stuck with no lunch. 🙁

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my visit a couple days ago was frustrating from start to finish. The food I was served was undercooked and honestly pretty unappetizing. I tried to address the issue, but the employee helping me who told me his name was Francisco seemed irritated and dismissive.
To make things worse, there was tension between him and the cashier, which made the whole atmosphere uncomfortable for customers. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, the interaction just felt chaotic and unpleasant.
I ended up leaving without enjoying my meal and with the impression that customer service just isn’t a priority here. I hope management takes steps to improve training and communication because the experience was far below what I expected.

I love me a burger and chili cheese fries, but it has to be just right. This place was better than just right. The burger was very flavorable stuffed perfectly well with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and all the other good stuff!
Chili cheese fries were so good too! The chili tastes and the seasoned fries, it was all so yummy. I recommend asking for the chili cheese fries in a container so that the cheese can melt. I got it on the plate and cheese melted slowly, but I’m not complaining

First time trying this place after meeting the owner in Temecula. If you like chili cheese fries, this is the place to go! This special chili has a special kick to it. That’s a spicy chili cheese fries! I will definitely eat here again.

The Golden Ox Burgers have been location on Whittier Blvd in the city of Montebello for many years. We have coming and enjoying their food many years at the Golden Ox. The one thing we love most is their world famous pastrami it’s so it’s very tender and juicy on a French roll with mustard and pickles that’s is classic pastrami sandwich. Their burgers are very good including Mexican and breakfast. That why we enjoy the food at the Golden Ox.

Not the same since they changed everything! First and foremost, This burger smells awful. The seasoning has a strong smell of cumin, cumin is like smelling a room full of armpits. I kinda ate some cuz i was very hungry but i couldn’t finish it, i threw it out. Also i wanted to mention, the cashier in the drive thur is very rude. This is the last time i come here. I knew i shouldn’t have trusted this disgusting and disrespectful burger places. In in out is still #1!

The food is delish. However, the wait time, especially via the drive-thru is ridiculous. Add to that the attitude the “woman” at the window (Adriana) gives, AND the prices…good grief, leaves much to be desired. It not worth it.
