Haven’t been to this spot since it was a pizza joint beforehand. Staff was super friendly, and I grabbed an 8-piece family combo to take home.
Chicken
The chicken was all dredged and fried up fresh right then. The skin was crispy, even after a short car ride home. Seasoned well, moderately juicy. It was all drumsticks and thighs, I didn’t see any breasts or wings.
Coleslaw
Nothing crazy but was good, the right amount of tang and sweetness.
Fries
I feel like these are the highlight of the show. Their steak fries were perfectly seasoned, very crunchy, they were damn good.
I also grabbed a fried chicken sandwich and was told it was “ok”. Kids can be the hardest critics.
Overall solid. I would’ve killed for some hot sauce and pickled jalapenos to go with it.
I honestly think if they put together some serious chicken sandwiches they’d fill a void/niche here in Walkersville that no one is hitting right now. Take a page out of the Dave’s hot chicken/howlin rays book. Honestly with the fries that combo would be fire.

The service was great and the atmosphere is like a little pizza shop. I got the Cheese Steak and Fries. Both were delicious and I will be ordering from here again when I’m in the area working.

This is the best fried chicken in Frederick hands down. I’ve been here several times already and every meal was consistently delicious. Love this place. Louie himself is very accommodating and makes sure that you get a great meal.

Terrible experience! Very disappointing! We arrived on a Tuesday evening to find the parking lot empty, which should have been our first warning sign. We nearly thought the place was closed. However, the staff greeted us warmly, and we ordered chicken gyro, tenders, and wings. The wait wasn’t long, likely because we were the only customers. But when the food arrived, everything went downhill. The chicken wings were unbearably tiny and looked shriveled, the fries were old, over-salted, and dry, and even frozen tenders from the grocery store would have been better than what we received. The gyro was just as unappealing. With my first bite of the wings, I was hit by a strong rotten smell. I didn’t want to mention it in front of my spouse, so I quietly informed the host/server who seemed unsurprised, offering just a blank stare and a shrug. Nothing around here is remotely ‘famous,’ and the only thing worth the money is the canned or bottled drink.

Do not judge a book by its cover! Small family operation it seems and by god, their chicken is genuinely delicious. I got 3 pieces of dark and the skin was super crispy and had a nice seasoning on it. I enjoyed the fries because they were old bay seasoned out the gate which is true Maryland stuff. Go check it out!

The best fried chicken I have found in Frederick County. It is made to order (no sitting under heat lamps for hours!), and it is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Always hot and always delicious. The owner is so kind and, while the atmosphere isn’t fancy, it is a nice place to sit and enjoy your hot meal.
