I didn’t find it as good as I expected. The hamburger was tasty, and the fries were excellent. However, I was disappointed that they didn’t provide peanuts. Not sure if it’s just this particular store…
It’s one of the most famous burger places in America. Unlike the New York locations, the Hawaii branch didn’t have peanuts when I visited, but this might need confirmation. The burgers are tasty and the portions are decent. However, I don’t think they surpass Teddy’s Burger, another famous handmade burger spot in Hawaii. Since it’s a franchise, it’s worth a visit if you’re looking for a familiar taste.

We’ve been coming here on lazy days (at least 3 times a month) for 3 years now and our order is wrong every single time. It doesn’t matter if we order online or in person, we order the same burger every time and there’s always something missing. The staff is very kind and the service is quick enough but always check your food before you leave.
Edit: 2 months later and I never learn. Maybe the staff hates sauce mixing? Maybe there’s a policy that only allows them to order a single bottle of barbecue sauce a week? Can’t think of any reasonable explanation that I order my go-to mayo and barbecue sauce every time and they give me an eyedropper full (and that’s IF they remember it).

The food is what you go to a Five Guys for, and this location disappoints. The fries were soggy and the burger was overcooked. For what they charge, this should not be happening. We’ve been here before and it was fine, but now it’s gone downhill.

Had awesome service and thoughtful presentations here today.
First impression was clean and friendly. Counter employee went above and beyond to package my food for the drive so the buns or fries didn’t get soggy. Burgers were prepared as requested. We enjoyed everything including the little bags of peanuts.

I placed an online order on a whim just 10 minutes before closing and showed up right before they shut the doors at 10:00 p.m. I apologized and thanked the staff, admitting, “Tonight, I’m that guy.” Despite the late timing, the team was unfazed and super friendly, handling it all with smiles and good vibes.
I don’t eat here often since I follow a keto diet, and I know one burger isn’t enough. Plus, it can get pricey. When I do indulge, I like to go big—ideally with a one-pound burger. To my surprise, the online menu lets you add an extra patty for just $3. I ended up ordering two burgers with an extra patty each. It came out to about $30, which isn’t bad considering it would’ve been around $25 without the extra patties.
I opted for lettuce wraps, which I usually avoid because they’re often messy or poorly put together. But this team nailed it—the wraps were perfectly made and easy to eat. Another pleasant surprise was the burgers themselves. While I wish they offered a less well-done option, the meat was juicy and tender, not tough like I expected.
Overall, I was impressed with the quality and care, especially considering the timing. I’ll definitely be back to order the same thing. Thanks for the great service!

First time to this place and said to the cashier. He just looked at me and continued to as I struggled to order. 2 orders of fries,only one cup in the bag. No ketchup offered when I asked they said they were out and saving what they had for burgers. Sunday afternoon, 4 pm. I insisted upon ketchup with fries,received a half filled small plastic of ketchup with all the staff and then customers staring at me. Not wro g to expect ketchup with fries. You can keep your too expensive food,fries and ketchup. Ill likely never return.

Absolutely horrible job for such a great brand. This specific store is a joke. The fries were neither hot nor crispy. The burgers were so sloppily dressed and put together they almost fell apart. Will have to wait til I get back to the mainland to have proper five guys

Loved our visit to Five Guys! We enjoyed some complimentary peanuts while we were waiting for our order. I ordered the small cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard & cooked onions which was nicely cooked. Loved the fries too! They have a self-serve Sosa machine with lots of drink options. The Five Guys restaurant is located at the Pearlridge Center, about a 25 minute drive from Waikiki.

So apparently you can not get grilled onion on your burger any more and you can not ask for a cup water they charge $4 for a cup of water or you have to buy a bottle for $3.49. I will go to teddy’s burger next time I strongly suggest to avoid that place
