I’ve been going to CM Chicken in Gardena ever since Vons Chicken in Torrance closed, but I just tried Thanks Chicken.. and wow, I’m impressed!

I ordered the Half & Half Wings (Crispy and Sweet & Spicy) along with the Mala Rose Tteok-Bokki, and everything was fantastic.

The best part? I don’t have to make that 25 minute (almost an hour round-trip) drive to Gardena to get chicken anymore!!!

I honestly wanted to leave a better review for this Korean style fried chicken restaurant.
However wanted to try this place out being to many different Korean Fried Chicken establishments in the L.A. county areas.

About 5:30 pm ish on a Saturday evening. The waiter informed us that they were out of wings. A misfortune can be a good thing for some, for me this was very disappointing. C’mon weekend, dinner rush, your specialty is chicken and you run out?

Me and the family ordered a 1/2 chicken with garlic soy sauce, kimchee fried rice, and our daughter got their chicken tenders. Everything was very delicious just the rice was on the mushy side (not sticky) and I told my wife that this place would be good for pick up. For it seems as things were rushed.
As we awaited patiently for our check and Togo boxes which took nearly 20 minutes, we were agitated by the only server doing everything. Answering phones, taking long amounts of time with the other guests as it started getting packed with patrons missing checking in on us. I had to get up and stand up by the counter in order to get our server’s attention. I get it, I’ve worked multiple restaurants and retail. You need at least 1 more server or employee to be running your small business during peak hours. The server was getting quite stressed out and that part isn’t his fault, however the owner or manager should not allow these situations to damper the business. Our server did a decent job while being alone, however we’ve been to other types of restaurants where there was only 1 person doing it all with a bit more tact and attentiveness.

To the managers and owner, please give this guy some help during peak hours of service. Supply and demand is understandable however understaffed during rush hour is unacceptable for the ones that have to work harder.

We will give Thanks Chicken another try.

Awesome Korean fried chicken! Tried this place on a whim when I was working in the area, and was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go back next time I have an appointment out there.

The Teokkbokki rice cakes stew has the options of added: ramen, glass noodles, seaweed rolls, beef. And comes with egg and dumplings. The pasta are divine for “street food.” I would try these out with tasty bone in chicken or boneless tenders!

Must visit this place. I had half and half fried and marinated chicken with Tteokbokki, pasta and fried dumplings etc. I was not able to find a good korean fried chicken place for a long time and this place is the best. Also try the pasta and spicy rice cake as my teenage girls loved them. Must visit again soon to try the other menus as well such as the Army soup as that is also one of my favorite korean dishes. The owner is really nice as well!

Okay so I really don’t write reviews often… But… This is my new favorite spot! If you are looking for authentic Korean street cuisine, this is the place to go! The staff is very friendly, every time I order I am surprised by how quickly my order is done, the atmosphere is great and they play K-Pop music with the music videos on TVs. I have been here a few times already since they barely opened up and each time I try something new. Everything has been awesome. The portions are HUGE! The quality is amazing and it’s a very fair price. Their lunch specials are unmatched as well. They have treated me with so much respect every time I have come here that i couldn’t even wait to eat my food without writing a review first. Pictured is the “Thanks Beef Bowl” although calling it a “bowl” is an understatement. It comes in a ginormous to-go box! You can tell they use quality ingredients and put love/care into making your food. This authentic bulgogi is better than a lot of fancy restaurants I have tried in K-Town. Try for yourself!

Can fried chicken be to juicy? Not if it’s this crispy. I’ve had Korean fried chicken all over the place this might be the best I’ve ever had. Better than any I’ve had in koreatown Los Angeles maybe even better than the one I had Tokyo’s koreatown.
Super juicy and crispy. I got the sauce on the side so I could choose the amount of heat. No problem though it’s not too spicy. The iced Korean coffee was on point also. Not too sweet.

This place has excellent fried chicken. It’s not super greasy like some places, it’s nice and juicy and crunchy on the outside. Definitely try the different sauces they have, the sweet and sour dipping sauce is good enough to drink. Service is awesome as well.

I’m a huge fan of garlic chicken from Korea, the kingdom of chicken, and the Habanero Chicken here is out of this world-!!
You will absolutely not regret it.
