Ordered a combination platter in order to try several meats. It was all okay, but nothing stood out as a great flavor. I will say, as a side dish, I chose the BBQ beans and didn’t like them. We also ordered ribs, they were probably the best thing we ordered. I wouldn’t recommend the chicken, it was a bit dry, the brisket was good and I’d order it again.
The food was brought out quickly, our server did a good job of checking up on us and keeping drinks filled.
If you’re in the mood for BBQ, it’s worth trying this restaurant.

Recently, I found myself at an event with a Yuma resident. I knew I was coming into town in a few weeks so I asked him for a good place to eat. Without hesitating, he said Dirty South. So, here I am in Yuma, and decided to check out his recommendation. It was excellent. It was a Thursday evening so it wasn’t super busy. I picked a table and the wait staff immediately helped. I ordered the Texas toast brisket grilled cheese with the standard French fries. It arrived very quickly. And it was delicious. The only complaint I had was that the guy who brought me my food did not mention that I could get sauce by “milking the sow.” So I was half way through my sandwich before I realized it. Added the chipotle cherry BBQ sauce, which was great. I will definitely put this on my list of places to eat whenever I am in Yuma.

I am so happy I found this gem of a restaurant! Wow I was so impressed by the start , the gentleman which I’m sure is the owner was so welcoming and friendly and made us feel so welcomed and at home , he offered and helped us out so much !
Now the food was absolutely phenomenal! Best bbq I have ever had , we had pretty much all the meats and sides and everything was 10/10 tasted so homemade and delicious! This place deserves the best bbq there is award ! They also kindly gave my Husband a military discount and thanked him for, they deserve the best review possible for their service and food !

Best tasting brisket sandwich I have had in a long time. Portions are decent. Long line to order and pay. Sweet cashier. If you pay by cash, the beverage bar is free with ice tea, SWEET southern tea, lemonade, or water. My order was ready before I even got my drink. Lots to look at…one-of-a-kind items for sale from shoes and clothes to bric-a-brac. Keep looking, you’ll find more that you didn’t see the first time. Inside, patio, veranda and outside seating. You pick! I am so glad I stopped to eat here. Large parking lot. March 2025.

This lil place is right off the road and, unless you made plans to come here you would just drive right on by not knowing what the building was. However, when you walk it it’s a different atmosphere. The staff each time I’ve been in (been in twice) have been great, the little shop has some neat nick knacks and the food is decent.
From my experience- their pulled pork sandwich is great. I’m not a fan of the slaw they add to it, however. I was excited to try their potato salad (forgot to take a pic) but was really disappointed. It had so much onion in it that it really took away from the rest of the dish. I couldn’t take more than a few bites. The baked beans were okay- I was expecting more of a brown sugar taste, I think, and the tiny pieces of onion? And not sure what else was in it but those also threw me off so I was not ready for the current flavor. Mac and cheese was delicious! I really enjoyed this! Hush puppies were also pretty good. First time I was there, the sweet tea was just as you’d expect. However, the second time it did not taste right. Had almost like a chemical taste to it. Took one sip and tossed it. Both times I came here, I ordered to go and ate and drank when I got home so I was unable to say something at the restaurant.

Out of the way BBQ place. The food was good but unfortunately most of the staff were out sick so it took over an hour to get our food. I wish they told us that when we walked in as we were starving. But the staff were apologetic and nice. They sold ice cream and nice 2nd hand clothing, etc as well. Indoor/outdoor seating.

Food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh. The meat on the ribs was fall of the bone. The brisket had the perfect amount of fat to it. The corn bread was moist. The hush puppies were the best I’ve ever had from anywhere. I’m definitely ordering from here again.

This was our first time here and we will definitely be coming back it was super delicious. The service was also great. The agua fresca de Sandia and sweet tea are super good also. Cant wait and try the other things on the menu.
