Wow! This shave ice was amazing. The Fresh Shave came recommended on a Kaua’i itinerary I purchased and we are so glad we stopped here. My husband and I were stuck between two flavors and were having trouble picking which one to get, the young girl working suggested an item from their secret menu since it was a combination of the two we were between. The flavor was so so good! It was the best shave ice we had on the island, in our humble opinion. We will definitely be back on our next vacation! Mahalo for the friendly and helpful service and delicious treat!!

My family visited Kauai and Oahu for a total of 12 days and toured all parts of both of the islands, and this was by far the best shave ice we had. All the other places served crushed ice with artificial dyes (sort of like a glorified snow cone), while this tasted much more natural and fresh. A worthwhile stop if you want to experience real shave ice!

Shave ice was great! Natural flavors and unique combinations. They were sold out of a couple flavors since we showed up an hour or so before they closed. The two people working were friendly and helpful. Give it a try. You’ll be happy you did!

This shave ice is delicious, not like the rest. It doesn’t taste like sugary syrup like many others. It’s a delicious smooth flavor! We tried these flavors:
-The Handle Bar: Coconut ~ Topped w/ Fresh pineapple
& Shredded Coconut
And the
-The Professar: Berries & Acai ~ Topped w/Local Honey, Bananas, & Shredded Coconut

We had The Fresh Shave Kauai serve shave ice at my friend’s wedding in Princeville, and it was a total crowd-pleaser! The kids couldn’t get enough of it, and the adults were just as delighted. The service was professional and friendly, and the shave ice was absolutely delicious—light, flavorful, and super refreshing. It was the perfect touch for a Hawaiian wedding celebration. Highly recommend them for any event on the island!

For the past couple years, I have been traveling to Hawaii. During these past few years I have had a side mission: Find the best shave ice place. When I visited recently it defeated 1#. They put fresh fruit rather than ice cream on it and rather than waiting till the end they put flavor in the middle making it flavorful through. Therefore this place is 1# in Hawaii so far.

Is there any way I could give 10 out of 5 stars? This is the highest quality and most unique shave ice you could find anywhere, ever, in the history of the universe.
No sticky, sugary syrups—everything is made in house with fresh ingredients.
People confuse the name for a barbershop, so they have some kind of fun mustache theme.
Friendly kids work there.
Shaded outdoor seating the courtyard with other shops and eats. I guess there’s a shared bathroom, but I don’t see it just glancing around.
When is the next time I will come anywhere to the island of Kaua’i? Will I go to The Fresh Shave? I yearn to know…
