The place is very nice inside, in a nice neighborhood. Went when it was very cold out and it was nice and warm inside. I was happy trying the albanian sausage in the omelette for the first time pretty good, but I will say was disappointed in the rest of it. Hash browns were cold and toast tasted stale, also tried the breakfast quesadilla it was a decent if you put a bunch of hot sauce on it. Over all just okay experience.

SOFRA Family bistro is a breakfast / brunch not to be missed. Friendly, welcoming staff, comfortable dining room and tastefully decor. All classic well prepared items, but especially the crepes (Black Cherry Crepes, were unreal good) Great job to the owners and staff at Sofra Family Bistro, you do Middleton proud! KUDOS!

Great gem in this fun neighborhood. Fantastic Albanian fare with many other options in the extensive menu. We couldn’t get enough of the homemade Albanian sausage. The hash browns with cheese and onion were stellar. Service is prompt and helpful. This is a simple easy going place. Other tables were all enjoying a peaceful calm day and moment to eat great food. The crepes were incredible, better than ones I have had in Paris. Tender, just right in sweetness and not gummy. Now let’s talk about the coffee! They have their own blend and it’s fantastic, real coffee with flavor and depth. We had 2 cups each. They also sell the beans. Great place for brunch. Will look forward to go and have dinner.

Amazing food. We had the Sonoma panini and the malaga crepe and they were both perfect.

This breakfast restaurant is one of the better options in the Madison area. They are sparing with oil so you wont feel heavy leaving, the coffee is good, and fresh fruit available. They have hash browns or a lightly roasted potato. Nice and quiet early morning. It’s a great place to stop with a quick kitchen and the restaurant is very clean.

Every time we go to breakfast at Sofra we find something new to love. They always have specials up on the board which helps keep things interesting for regulars. I’ve fallen in love with the griddled biscuits and gravy, and my husband had crab cakes Benedict that were to die for. Great creative food with a Mediterranean twist that you can’t find anywhere else. My only request: stronger coffee!

First time writing a review for a restaurant.
If possible, we would give this place zero stars. The portion sizes were extremely small, and the prices were far from reasonable. The server’s attitude was particularly disappointing. We asked if we could forgo the regular toast included with the meal and instead pay extra to upgrade to French toast. She curtly replied “No,” and stated that adding only two slices of French toast would cost an additional $11.
Approximately 20 minutes after we were seated, had ordered, and begun eating, the server started clearing our plates without asking for permission. She returned several times, each time taking away one or two items, all without any communication or expression. It appeared she was trying to rush us, likely because more customers were arriving.
The entire experience felt impolite and uncomfortable. I have never encountered such poor service in a dining establishment. If you are visiting with children or hoping to enjoy a pleasant brunch with friends, I strongly recommend choosing another restaurant. Truly an unfortunate and unpleasant experience.

I’m not sure there is a better example of a quality family restaurant. In both ownership and patronage this place represents community and the right way to run a family business. I also love that they have their own Rusty Dog Coffee blend and homemade hot sauce. The food is great, the service is accommodating and friendly, and I can go there with my 3 young children and have a stress free meal. Great place.

Sofra is the real deal when it comes to authentic Turkish cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported—warm hospitality, cozy ambiance, and food that feels like a love letter from Istanbul.
Highly recommend the Turkish coffee—rich, bold, and beautifully presented. And if you’re there for breakfast, don’t miss the Albanian sausage and eggs—perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. It’s one of those dishes you think about days later.
