The restaurant’s Chinese name already tells you what to expect: soy sauce chicken is the star here, and it definitely lives up to the promise. On our visit, we ordered the soy sauce chicken, Chinese cured meat rice, spare ribs in honey and garlic, and a simple stir-fried kai lan to balance things out.
The soy sauce chicken was tender, juicy, and deeply flavorful, with the seasoning soaked right through the meat. No surprise that it’s often sold out—it’s clearly a crowd favorite. The cured meat rice was equally satisfying, perfectly cooked with a nicely formed crust at the bottom that added both texture and aroma. The honey and garlic spare ribs were crunchy on the outside and absolutely delicious, striking that addictive sweet-savory balance.
While everything we tried was solid, my personal weakness is Chinese BBQ duck. I noticed it on the menu and will definitely be coming back to give it a try next time. A great spot for classic Cantonese BBQ done right.

Eat here fairly regularly, they have an amazing apple soup which is our favourite. As the name says they have great BBQ but everything is good. Love their whole fish as well, very traditional and well flavoured. Never too busy and the value is pretty good!

Food was ok, average, nothing spectacular.

Service is what you expect from a Cantonese restaurant. Gruff, direct, abrupt. The waitresses were clumsy, and swiped my cheek (as I was seated, and she reached over) with a clean takeout container when she was dropping it off at the table. She did apologize immediately. Another waitress dropped my scarf onto the ground when she moved an empty chair from our table, to make room for the next table, even though I asked her to wait as I still had stuff on the chair. Again, she did apologize quickly.

Seating: extremely cramped, with shared tables, and strangers seated right next to you at the tables. I wished they had more seating for smaller groups (up to 4 people).

Weekend dinner with my friend from out of town.

I had take out soya sauce chicken before, it wasn’t not bad, this time have to try eating there.

Service was good, typical Chinese fast style

Food was ok, a little disappointed actually. The pea tip vegetables were very good, but other dishes even the Chinese bbq fell short.

Decor was ok, little dated

Sorry not coming back for sure

We came for dinner on Sat night at 5:30pm. Wasn’t busy at all. We haven’t been here for few years but remember food was always pretty decent. For 5 of us We order the 4 person meal. The waiter told us certain veggie was $4 extra so we said ok. Then the waiter ask if we wanted soup so we said sure. Typically the meal comes with soup and dessert. When we paid, we realize the soup was $40! I asked the waiter why didn’t you at least tell us that beforehand. Of course they don’t say anything. I don’t mind paying but it would great if we knew in advance. Definitely not honest. They are quick and service soso. Will not be back

This place offers the best Chinese food in Richmond. Although it’s a small venue with limited dining space, the quality of the food will impress you, all at reasonable prices. They only accept cash, with no service charge, leaving the tip up to your discretion. The service is incredibly fast and outstanding.

Food was tasty, but the after effect of MSG made me drowned of thirst. Service throughout the dinner was very well kept until time to pay. Paid cash and expected to change to return. Without a word they kept all the change. We had no chance to re-access the tip. Not likely of returning.

Disclaimer: I visited the restaurant with a family member of the restaurant.

The food was delicious and well-prepared, with everything tasting fresh. The restaurant gets busy, offering an authentic HK Cantonese experience with a fast-paced atmosphere and efficient use of every inch of space.
