This is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in Homestead. The receptionist who takes my order is absolutely amazing—always friendly, professional, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better from the moment you call or walk in. The food is consistently delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is great—comfortable and inviting—and on top of all that, the prices are very affordable. Truly the best place to eat in Homestead. Highly recommended!

Up till a week ago (12/25) service was dependable. Food quality has always been good, but since I require delivery, that service has gone downhill. Recent orders have arrived later than promised, and the only thing that is offered by the establishment are excuses. In fact, just today when I placed another (on-line) order. This order also came 30 minutes later than promised. I complained to the delivery person about that. When I said that I would now be taking my business elsewhere, the delivery person took back my delivery and drove away. Wow!
Needless to say, I then placed the same order with a competitor and it came within the expected timeframe and the cost was less than what I had originally ordered at China Yan.
Again, I have never had a problem with food quality (going on close to 10 years) but service, as of the last week is no longer existent. I’ve moved on. Oh, and orders were typically in the $70-$90 range and I placed 2-3 orders a month. China Yan, do the math! have no problem spending my money, but I will only do so with establishments that are appreciative of my patronage.

I am not a picky eater but I must say this food is intolerable. The lo mein was so overcooked that I’m not sure it could be made any worse. It was essentially mush.
The fried wontons are not the homemade ones depicted on their menu, instead they are super dried out hard as a rock wontons that can break a tooth if you’re not careful. I am so upset for wasting almost $30 on food that I cannot stomach.

09/2023: As a first-timer, I’ll focus solely on the food in my review and not comment on the employee. I had reservations due to various service-related comments I’d read, but I decided to give it a try today. I ordered the lunch special in person, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion, delicious taste, and reasonable price. Based on this experience, I do plan to return in the future.

Absolutely do not order from here. The food is terrible. I really don’t know what kind of food I just ordered but the only reason I ate it was because I paid almost 35 dollars for it. Definitely pick a better option if you can.
