I’m writing this in real time… sitting outside of Popeyes. I placed an online order set for pick up at 4:48 pm. My location is in Illinois and it should be automatically set on Central time. The window employee told me my order was set for pick up at 5:30 pm. (How is that even possible as I’m looking at a screen shot of the time) The screen shot of the pick up time on the order says 4:48 EASTERN!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE WHEN this business is literally located in CENTRAL TIME ZONE!!
She asks me to pull around, because it’s not ready.
I even came late to pick up my order. Once parked, another employee comes out and tells me that they have no legs and it will be 12 min before anything is ready? Wait, what? Popeyes, what is the use of placing an online order for a set time when the time is in Eastern Time and the food is not ready? Do better.
1 star for the unpreparedness and 1 star because at least it will be hot and fresh whenever they bring it out. I don’t love that chicken right now because I don’t have my order and it’s 515pm and counting!!

Best service I’ve had in a long time. Food was hot store was clean. The new manager I think his name is Jose looked like he was really doing a great job. Even the district manager David was there and he was helping guests. providing excellent customer service. Offered me some of that Cajun sparkle stuff I’d never had and it was amazing. Thanks David store is much better than it was 4 months ago when I came here

Didn’t wait long to order or receive my food. The dining room was clean and at a comfortable temperature. The food tasted great! Enjoyed the Cajun music. The counter person was friendly and efficient. The bathroom was clean

Went through the drive-thru today. Ordered food at about 1:10 pm (two 12 piece combos). When I pulled up to pay there were 2 cars pulled ahead of me that had paid, but were waiting for food. I paid and the employee handed me my drinks and asked me to pull into a stop in the parking lot. I watched as they slowly brought food to the other 2 cars. I waited about 10 more minutes (25 minutes from the time I ordered) and I went ahead and drove around the building and back up to the window. It took a few minutes before someone came and opened the window to talk to me. I watched them hand food to people inside the restaurant. Finally by the time someone I told them I had been waiting 30 minutes by then. They told me they were just cooking it now and it would be done soon. I told them I just wanted a refund because at this point I don’t even have enough time to eat the food, but if they haven’t even cooked it yet it was just too long. I also told them that they should definitely inform people when they order that it’s going to be at least 30 minutes so they don’t have to waste their time like I did. I got my refund, but got no apology for the wait. They seemed very indifferent. From someone who’s worked in customer service for years, in many industries, this was pretty bad.
I’m giving 4 stars for the food only because when I’ve picked up from this location before the food was good.

Whoever was working on 12/23/25 at 12:30 PM should be training other folks. Excellent service, kind cashier, the best version of Popeyes – hot and fresh! I mean… I hope y’all get everything you asked from Santa because you blessed us today!

The young white employee with glasses and shaggy hair was extremely unprofessional from the moment I walked in — I wasn’t greeted at all. He packed my order incorrectly, and when I politely corrected him, he became irritated, yelled “my bad,” and then got rude with another customer as well. This behavior is unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately.
To make matters worse, my order is still wrong. I paid $40 to feed my family, and instead of the spicy chicken I ordered, I was given classic. This is extremely disappointing.

Went there at 11:00 am last Friday. I generally have no complaints about the food.
Thinking that the restaurant was open for only an hour, the chickhen would be fresh .
I ordered 3 wings with coke slaw and a biscuit.
I could have not been anymore disappointed with the chicken. It tasted old and certainly not freshly made. It was dried out and the breading or exterior of the chicken was dark and no where near what I have had in the past.
The biscuit was very dried out and hard. The biscuits have always been good. It actually was crumbly and broke apart in dust.
Cole slaw was good and as expected .
I have to wonder by the looks and taste of the chicken and biscuit if both were reheated leftovers??
I find it hard to believe that would be the case but the food was so out of normal that early in the day , I would not be surprised if it was .
I have to think real hard if I will go back and spend almost $12.00 on a lunch like this again.
For similar $$, there are better places to eat.

We had a really good experience this last time visiting. Though they seemed unfortunately short staffed today, the manager and kitchen staff were really friendly and on top of everything. It seemed like they had really good communication which feels good to see.
