We ordered the lamb chop dish for $24.99 and had it prepared medium. It was very tender and juicy and well flavored! It comes with a side salad and garlic sauce which was simple but delicious. Highly recommend this entree!
I ordered the mixed shawarma which is chicken and beef. The beef was very dry and I preferred the chicken it was more juicy tender and had more flavor. If it didn’t come with the garlic sauce I probably would not have enjoyed the beef at all the garlic sauce helped. This entree comes with red and yellow rice and a simple side salad (with sumac sprinkled on top which was so good) and roasted veggies for $17.99. I asked for just the yellow rice and for extra salad instead of having two kinds of rice. The waitress with glasses was able to accommodate my request. She was very professional and polite. She answered my questions regarding items on the menu too.
We also ordered an appetizer dish the halloumi cheese which is grilled for $7.99. It is very good and I like the salty flavor and chewiness. They give you three big slices with some slices of tomato. It comes with a side of four lightly toasted paninis. I would definitely get this appetizer again I loved the flavor of the cheese.
We also tried their Turkish coffee for $2.99 and their yogurt drink for $2.99. The Turkish coffee has such a unique flavor. And their yogurt drink although it is not made in house it has a salty tangy taste and is loaded with active cultures/prebiotics (great for gut health) which I really liked!
Everything came out to $60 with tax included! Such a great value for all the food we ordered.
Overall I think it was an excellent value. Very generous portions for the price. The lamb was cooked to perfection. That chef knows what they’re doing. The chicken shawarma was very tender and well flavored. The beef shawarma is dry and lacked flavor, maybe they give us shawarma that was sitting out, I don’t know, but due to this I couldn’t give 5 stars, they need to make it more tender next time.
I would definitely come back if I’m in the area and craving Mediterranean cuisine. Great customer service, great portions, great prices and decent taste overall!
My only complaint truly is about concern for sanitary practices. Honestly, Indiana restaurants seems to have a lower standard of sanitation compared to neighboring Illinois restaurants, and I think that may be a factor here.
I saw both cashiers handle mops, take payments from customers, and wipe tables and then immediately grab plates of food WITHOUT WASHING HANDS IN BETWEEN.
Plates of salad were stacked on top of each other, which obviously transfers bacteria. This was concerning as a standard practice.
Absolutely amazing! Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked—definitely the star of the meal. Highly recommend!
•Grilled Salmon Kebab – 9/10
Tasty and well-prepared, though it was more like a grilled salmon fillet than a traditional kebab. Still enjoyable!
•Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken – 3/10
Disappointing—bland and lacking in flavor. I asked for red chili flakes and oregano to spice it up a bit, but they didn’t have any.
Overall, a solid spot for Mediterranean food with some standout items. I’d come back, but probably skip the pasta next time.
