American style Chinese food shops all carry the same menu and serve the same basic americanized Chinese dishes (e.g sweet and sour, orange, general tzo, beef and broccoli , chicken and garlic sauce, etc,) and are probably all franchises. Chef Yao had real Chinese dishes along with American Chinese dishes so I thought I should give the authentic Chinese restaurant a try. It’s more pricey and being authentic it’s expected but I also expected a better quality in taste but I didn’t taste the difference compared to the americanized Chinese food restaurants. Before I return and try the Hunan or Szechuan that people rave about I went with the regular stuff first. Same basic taste imo.

I ordered delivery. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the fish and sour cabbage soup and string beans with eggplant. Both dishes were super fresh and flavorful. I’ve ordered a few times and highly recommend the food. I’m looking forward to dining in also.

Great food and service. Reasonable prices and large servings. Soup dumplings were juicy and flavorful. Orange beef was crispy and saucy. Dry pot beef was excellent. Can’t wait to try more.

I’m very happy to have this option in RI because I’ve been going to Malden for Sichuan food. I went with a friend who doesn’t eat spicy so I tried a few dishes, but will go back for 毛血旺 next time!

Authentic Sichuan food. All ingredients were fresh and flavorful. A bit salty for me, so ate it with rice. Rice was also of superb quality: slightly sticky and quite soft.

Please don’t bother ordering chicken meals and expecting anything different… I’ve ordered the spicy crispy chicken, general tso’s, and the sesame chicken and they’re basically all the same red chicken dish :/

The lady was unwelcoming the moment we stepped in. Inattentive and unbothered the whole time. Service was basically nonexistent. We finished the food and were ready to pay, but we waited a good 20 minutes before she came to give us the check. She knew we were done with the food and ready to leave but refused to check on us. The restaurant had 2 tables that day, I would understand if it was busy, but it wasn’t. She also completely ignored me when I asked if I could get a new utensil as the other one fell. Tipping 20% is standard for us when we dine out and more if service was great, so as usual we tipped her well. But don’t think I will be back. Food was inconsistent as well. Ordered the same dishes as last time but tasted way off.
