We stopped here as we were passing through on a road trip. It’s just a few minutes off the exit. The reviews were raving and it did not disappoint. My husband and I both got a traditional gyro and it was loaded with meat – just the gyro is by far enough food. We both got extra tzatziki sauce which was also tasty.

The atmosphere is casual but inviting. They have signs all over which were interesting, funny and we could agree with just about all of them!

It’s definitely worth a visit if you are in the area or passing through. We’d definitely go back!

Good food with very large portions. Order at the counter and they will call your name when the food is ready. Pretty good dessert options as well.

On West side of town for work and had this place on my list of “must try” for 2024.
I ordered the Traditional gyro with Greek fries. Quick service and could not wait to try! The Gyro was huge with loads of meat, great flavor! One of the best gyros I have had in some time!! Highly recommend!

Wow just wow. We had a group of 9 from out of town, I waited over a week to try this place out and it did not disappoint. Couple of cheeseburgers, Falafel, Baklava, Gyros, Lemon Chicken & potatoes, Greek salad & cheese fries (the kids want you to know its shredded cheese, ‍♀️ we tried to tell them). Don’t let the building keep you away it’s a gem with humor all over the inside. Portions were of good size, we had left overs. It’s definitely on my visit again list.

My beautiful wife and I really love this place. Anytime we are in Harrison, on a weeknight, we stop in to eat here. The 4 ways are especially good. Gyros are a favorite for my wife. Most things are ready to eat, in just a short time. If you have 25 minutes to wait, you can order chicken or pork Slovakia (sp) they are killer kabobs.
Today, I stopped in for lunch. While I was eating, I talked with my wife, and guess what we’re having for supper!? I had to bring home “to go” food to reheat this evening.
Great food, nice people, an actual Greek dude owns it and cooks there, so it’s all authentic.

Highly recommend Big Greek Cafe. Enjoy their generous portions and variety. This is a gem in town when you’re looking for something a little different. Anything gyro is good, as well as their falafel and hummus. Make sure to come with an appetite.

I found it hard to know how to rate this place. I could have gone with 5 stars as well as 3, so I picked 4. Here’s the deal…
Let me start with reasons for 5 stars. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. The cooking area is impeccably clean (maybe the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a Greek restaurant like this). The food was well seasoned. The staff was very friendly.
Now let me explain 3 stars. From the descriptions I had read and from seeing the menu online I “assumed” this was a sit down table service restaurant. It’s not. In fact, it’s hard to spot, tucked into the corner of a two-story multi-day building. You order at a counter and pick up your food at a window. They have no fountain drinks, only cans and bottles. While the gyro meat was tasty it was not hot. Hardly even warm. I paid for extra tzatziki sauce but I got very little.
So I would say that if you come with the right expectations it would be great. For “Greek fast food” it was very good (just heat the gyro meat a little more). 🙂

Forgot how much I love this place. Haven’t been there for a while but the traditional gyro is just as good as it was before. Definitely coming back soon.
