Just had another delicious breakfast for $12 at Gray Goat Bar and Grill in Oakville. When I worked in Oakville 5 years ago, I frequented this restaurant for its breakfast and HotTurkey sandwich at lunch. Five years later food and staff are still great! A must stop if hungry and passing through Oakville on Highway 12!!!

We were real pleased with how clean the place was when we entered. My wife had the Meatloaf and I had their French Dip. We both enjoyed our meal.

I’ve driven past this place a thousand times on the way to work, and each time I think “I bet that place has great biscuits and gravy, I need to stop in one day and check it out” well, this morning was that day. I got an order of biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns covered in gravy and it was fabulous. The biscuits were cooked just right, fluffy on the inside, not to dense or overdone with a nice crispeness on the outside. The gravy was meaty and creamy, nicely seasoned, with nice thick chunks of sausage in it. The hash browns were cooked just right, golden brown, with just the right crunch to tenderness ratio. The coffee was even good, very tasty and fresh. The service was nice, and I didn’t have to wait very long at all for my meal. The Gray Goat is definitely worth stopping and checking it out.

We’ve been here multiple times. The food is always amazing. Atmosphere is cozy and inviting. A home town homey feel. Waitress is always friendly and helpful. We go out of our way to stop in Oakville and eat here

Stopped by on a whim looking for a good bar to grab a burger. Didn’t know I would stumble upon one of the best double bacon cheese burgers I’ve ever had. If you like a greasy burger with thick bacon and a great fry sauce, this is the place. Will be back!

I had a Ruben with potato salad, and my husband had the cheese burger with potato
salad as well.
We also bought some locally made dish rags that were crocheted.
My family back in the day, used to stop off here when it was call Jags on our way to
Aberdeen/Hoquim to visit the grandparents.
We will definitely be back with friends next time.

Wow, this little place surprised me. It was clean, the water taste like bottled water, the food was delicious and quality, the waitress was happy and friendly I loved seeing how she interacted with the regulars, very sweet. I had a great experience on my first visit.

Ordered food liked the environment so I ordered my expensive meal for there, once seated and placed my order the lady never checked on table the whole time forgot to give me syrup not to mention the utensils had to ask for them. Good food though.

Great country lay out. Fantastic thought out bar and decore. The inside is open and feels inviting.
Staff friendly and warm.
Food was good to great depending on what you ordered. We had deluxe burgers (some with cheese some with bacon and one with out), all good. Tater tots a bit greasy and well done. The fries were better.
Chef salad is huge and well worth the money. Even the prices here are more than fair (good as far as my cheap butt is concerned, lol).
Bloody mary made by the younger gentleman was one of the better ones we have had in our travels. Hats off to that great bloody mary!
We will definitely stop in again and will recommend this place 🙂
